Designed for demanding enterprise environments, the HPE 960 GB Read Intensive SAS solid-state drive delivers a blend of speed, reliability, and efficiency that translates into faster business results. This 2.5-inch internal SSD is engineered to excel in data-rich workloads where read throughput and low latency are essential. Ideal for big data analytics, cloud infrastructures, high-performance computing, database applications, and virtualization, this drive helps organizations optimize IOPS, reduce latency spikes, and sustain consistent performance under heavy multi-user workloads. Built to integrate seamlessly with SAS-enabled servers and storage arrays, it combines enterprise-grade endurance with energy-efficient operation to support dense data centers and service-level agreements (SLAs) without compromising reliability.

  • High-performance read-intensive architecture: Engineered for steady, predictable read IOPS and low latency, enabling faster query response times, quicker data access, and smoother virtualization experiences. The drive delivers sustained performance in workloads such as database lookups, analytics-driven reporting, and content delivery where read operations dominate.
  • SAS 24Gb/s interface with enterprise interoperability: Built to thrive in modern SAS ecosystems, offering high-bandwidth communication with host controllers and storage networks. This seamless interface reduces bottlenecks in clusters, accelerates data movement across servers, and supports scalable configurations for growing workloads.
  • 960 GB capacity for data-intensive workloads: Ample room for large databases, active datasets, and virtual machines without frequent tiering or caching contention. The capacity supports cataloging, indexing, and analytics datasets while preserving fast read access for hot data segments.
  • Reliable, enterprise-grade endurance and protection: Designed with robust error correction, wear leveling, and background data protection to help maintain data integrity under constant read activity. The drive is built for long-term operation in data centers, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimizing maintenance windows.
  • Energy-efficient performance for dense environments: Optimized power consumption per I/O and cooler operation compared with older enterprise HDDs and some consumer-class SSDs. This efficiency translates to lower cooling requirements, quieter data center floors, and lower total cost of ownership (TCO) over the life of the drive.

In today’s data-driven landscape, enterprises demand storage that can keep pace with escalating data volumes while maintaining reliability, consistency, and quick access. The HPE 960 GB Read Intensive SAS SSD is built to meet these demands by delivering fast, predictable read performance across a spectrum of mission-critical workloads. The 2.5" form factor ensures easy server and storage integration, whether you are expanding an existing SAS backplane, refreshing aging storage, or scaling a virtualized environment. With enterprise-grade endurance, this SSD minimizes the risk of performance degradation over time, even under sustained read pressure, allowing IT teams to meet stringent SLAs and keep mission-critical applications responsive. By combining a robust SAS interface with optimized read performance, the drive reduces latency bottlenecks that can impact transactional databases, analytics platforms, and virtualization hosts. In cloud and data-center deployments, where many workloads concurrently read large datasets, the capacity to deliver rapid data access translates into faster analytics cycles, shorter batch windows, and improved user experiences for data-intensive applications. The energy-efficient design contributes to lower operational costs, enabling organizations to maintain higher levels of performance while keeping heat and power consumption in check in dense racks. For administrators, this SSD offers straightforward deployment advantages. Its compatibility with standard SAS controllers and backplanes minimizes integration hurdles, while the read-intensive profile provides predictable performance characteristics that simplify capacity planning and performance tuning. In virtualized environments, consistent read throughput supports rapid VM provisioning, efficient storage I/O for guest OS operations, and improved density for consolidation projects. For database professionals, the drive can accelerate read-heavy workloads such as index scans, bulk reads, and in-memory caching layers, helping to shorten query times and deliver faster insights to business users. The drive’s reliability features are designed to protect data integrity and ensure steady operation under heavy use. Enterprise-grade error correction, wear leveling, and consistent performance across the drive’s lifecycle reduce the need for frequent replacements and limit unplanned downtime. This translates to a lower total cost of ownership and greater confidence when planning larger deployments or multi-node configurations. When paired with proper firmware updates and system-level tuning, the HPE 960 GB RI SAS SSD becomes a reliable backbone for data-intensive workloads that demand both speed and resilience. If you are evaluating storage options for a mixed-use environment that prioritizes reads, this drive offers a balanced solution between capacity, performance, and durability. It is well-suited for databases with read-mostly workloads, content repositories, data warehouses with frequent lookup operations, and cache-tiering scenarios where fast access to hot data improves overall system responsiveness. While no single SSD can solve every performance challenge, selecting a read-intensive SAS SSD from a trusted enterprise line like HPE provides confidence in compatibility, serviceability, and long-term support across your organization’s infrastructure.

Great read for students
Format: Paperback
Studying cybersecurity, I thought "Black Hat Python, 2nd Edition" by Justin Seitz and Tim Arnold was quite helpful. This book makes difficult ideas far simpler by combining theory with practical examples. The revised material maintains it current given the cybersecurity issues of today. The practical uses it goes over, such as scraping and sniffing, which are essential skills for anyone working in the field. Whether you're brand-new or seasoned, the simple explanations make it easy to follow. Any student studying cybersecurity should not miss this book since it provides the ideal combination of knowledge and useful abilities through guided projects.

The book is simply perfect. Very good book. Problem with shipping.
Format: Paperback
The book is simply perfect. Good book and good practical contents, complex, but direct at the same time with what it has to say. Very useful if you want to learn Python but from the point of view of a Hacker or Pentester. There was a problem with the shipping, it was solved, but I received the book days later and for a few hours the book was lost, and the shipping agency couldn't track it, and they didn't know where it was. Luckily in the end it was fixed and I received it a few days later.

Tough read for a newbie
Format: Paperback
To start off, I am not the world’s best at writing code. I do have a low level understanding of the concepts and can figure out (with a longer amount of time) how to get some of the code functional. With this in mind, this book (if your a beginner or struggle with Python) is going to be a tough read and hard to practice. Its pseudocode is solid and makes the coding easier but you need to beware of pythons syntax differences between the different versions when you are using this. (This is something I struggle with). I am beyond happy with this book, albeit there are typos and errors inside it but I think it’s solid for practice in this field. Coming from a nontechnical profession, having the concepts explained and taken out from theory into working practice helps understand the practical side of doing something like this. Despite being a tough read, i have the frame of mind that ethical hacking and program development is not for a total newbie and some experience is needed for maximum efficiency. Hope this helps!
