Our Vegan Choice mattress offers a safe, non-toxic alternative to synthetic foam mattresses. We’ve developed our Vegan Choice to provide you with all the same benefits of wool but without the use of any animal products.
Our carefully selected low carbon, recycled polyester provides maximum breathability, comfort and support. Nestled between an extra thick layer of cotton it allows the mattress to hug the body whilst you sleep.
At the centre is a 1200 individually nestled pocket spring unit which allows the mattress to adjust and respond to your body.
The Vegan Choice boasts a OEKO-TEX and Allergy UK accredited chemical free purotex fabric.
Every one of our Vegan Choice bed mattresses are handmade to order and side stitched together with flax thread – you won’t find any glues, solvents or adhesives in the construction of any of our mattresses.
Like all of our mattresses, the Vegan Choice bed mattress is completely free from chemicals including Fire retardants and spray adhesives.
Materials
Polyester
An exceptionally breathable fibre, polyester evaporates moisture quickly, it’s non-allergenic which makes it the perfect sleeping solution for those suffering with multiple chemical sensitives and other allergies. Polyester sometimes has a bad press because it is a man-made fibre – but polyester is incredibly strong and gives great longevity! Furthermore it has a carbon footprint of about 3.8 Kg CO2e/Kg. This is about 40% less than that of cotton. So it has a lower environmental impact and is great for the circular economy. Interestingly polyester can also be used in organic mattresses under the GOTS regulations due to its very low off-gassing properties.
Cotton
Soft and breathable, cotton is the world’s most widely used fibre. Naturally hypoallergenic and temperature regulating cotton offers superior comfort and hugs the body in the same way memory foam does, but without the nasty chemicals.

1200 Individually nested pocket springs offer a more traditional sleep comfort.

We’ve selected fibres which promote only the most comfortable nights sleep, all our fibres are known for their clever body temperature regulating properties and will support your body to naturally keep cool in the warmer months and stay warm when it gets colder.
Hypoallergenic
Cotton and Polyester are both known for naturally absorbing and dispersing moisture away, creating a clean dry, environment that’s resistant to dust mites and bacteria growth. Our Vegan range of Polyester mattresses are the perfect option for people suffering with chemical sensitivities and allergies because of is non-allergenic qualities.
Sustainable
We source fibres which are biodegradable and 100% recyclable at the end of the life cycle of the mattress, we comply with the Stockholm Convention on recycling and each mattress is clearly labelled as such. Our mattresses are 100% recyclable.
Product Care
The Vegan Choice mattresses is a double-sided mattress, this means it requires regular flipping and rotating.
It is not uncommon for a small amount of dipping to appear in your mattress or topper where the natural fibres have been compressed . We recommend you flip and rotate your new Vegan Choice mattress weekly for the first 4 – 6 months to allow the fillings to settle evenly across the top surface.
