Holding the low end down in the studio or onstage? The Korg Pitchblack XS is ready to deliver. Bassists can choose from four meter displays, including regular, strobe, half strobe, and mirror. With strobe and half strobe mode, changes in pitch are viewed through the direction and speed of the meter. With mirror mode, two LEDs on both hands of the screen cross toward the center and meet once you’ve successfully tuned. What’s more, an added “just-right tuning” display function makes the triangular LEDs on the sides of the display blink once you’ve reached proper tuning. It all equates to a compact, highly accurate pedal that is sure to be a winner on your ’board.
