CPCWHS1001 (Work Safely in the Construction Industry) is a training course commonly known as the ‘White Card’ training, which is mandatory for anyone working at construction sites in Sydney.

What is a White Card?

This training course is your essential first step before starting any construction work, focusing on the crucial work, health and safety training you need. Sydney Sites Are Hiring but no card means no job.

It’s all about building your awareness and understanding of the health and safety laws that help keep you and your coworkers safe on the job. It’s also mandatory that you take this course to be on a construction site.

CPCWHS1001 (Work Safely in the Construction Industry) training course also offers the essential Work Health and Safety (WHS) induction training needed to obtain the White Card in New South Wales.

You'll learn how to spot and report common hazards on construction sites, get a handle on basic risk control measures and know what to do in case of incidents or emergencies.

Plus, you'll become familiar with choosing and properly using the personal protective equipment (PPE) that's standard in construction work.

This course is approved by SafeWork NSW, ensuring you receive recognised and reliable training.

Common Hazards in the construction industry:

  • Falls from heights due to scaffolding or ladder use.

  • Exposure to hazardous materials like asbestos or silica dust.

  • Electrical hazards from live wires or faulty equipment.

  • Injuries from heavy machinery or moving vehicles.

  • Slips, trips, and falls on uneven or cluttered surfaces.

Importance of Safety in the Construction Industry in Sydney:

  • Ensures the well-being of workers and reduces the risk of accidents.

What's the average length of a White Card Course?

The White Card course must run for a minimum of 6 hours according to SafeWork NSW regulations.

A White Card, also known as a general construction induction card, is a mandatory requirement for anyone looking to work in the construction industry.

This includes site managers, supervisors, surveyors, labourers and tradespeople.

It's also necessary for those who need to enter operational construction zones without direct supervision or who frequently visit these areas as part of their job.

Keep in mind that your White Card will become invalid if you haven't been involved in construction work for two or more consecutive years.

Perfect for my dog!
Style: Flying Glow Squirrel
My dog loves it! It hovers in flight, making it easy to catch, and it’s easy for her to pick up since it’s not flat like a regular disc. It even went thru the washing machine without damage, but I let it air dry so the dryer wouldn’t tear it up. Will buy again!

So much fun
Style: Flying Glow Squirrel
My shepherd loves this thing. He is a true fiend for a frisbee or ball and this is his new favorite toy. He will carry it around just to do so, and that’s a new thing for him. It’s soft which is good for my poor hands, yet it’s durable and stands up to the tests he throws at it. It flies well and hasn’t warped no matter what it’s hit. No tears through any of the chewing yet either. Good size toy that gives hours and hours of fun for the most playful and silly doggos out there!

Beloved dog toy now in glow in the dark canvas.
Style: Flying Glow Squirrel
This is a great frisbie style product with the advantage of glow in the dark visibility. My German Shepherd has been retrieving the original Chuckits for 5 years. They fly through the air and have the advantage of curved design which allows a dog to slide their mouth under it easily when it is on the ground. Awesome dog toy that my dog never tires of. Heavy duty canvas design for durability and washability when it gets muddy.

Great, tough, and will not break your dog’s teeth!
Style: Giggle Fumble
I am the aunt of several different types of dogs and they all love the giggle toys. The problem with most of them is that they are hard to Plastic (I guess so the dog doesn’t bite into the giggle box and disable it). Every pup I know is crazy about the giggle toys, but I’m always afraid they’ll break teeth. This one is very tough material but not hard so that your dog could bite down on it and enjoy the giggle.

Perfect for strong chewers!
Style: EcoFetch
Best balls for dogs who love to tear up toys. My pup tore up regular tennis balls but he can’t tear these up and he loves to just chew them. Will always buy these for our fur baby!
