artist biography
Anders Altzar was born May 6, 1886 in Hjulbäck, Siljansnäs. He was a Swedish artist.

He was the son of Altsar Anders Persson and Hanses Anna Andersdotter. His grandfather was the portrait painter Altsar Per Andersson (1797-1857). Altzar belonged to an old spinning wheel turner family in Dalarna. After graduating school Altzar was forced to help support the family by working on the family farm. His artistic talent was noticed by the artists Sigfrid Ullman, Emerik Stenberg and Gustaf Ankarcrona who lived in Ullvi outside Djurås. At the age of 17 with the assistance of a patron, he was given the opportunity to study art at the Konstakademien (Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts) under Gustaf Cederström. He later studied landscape painting for Gustaf Ankarcrona. He settled in Leksand in 1920, where he worked until his death. Altzar was one of the most productive painters in Dalarna and he mainly painted landscape scenes from the farmsteads in Dalarna. He had solo exhibitions in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Leksand, Falun and Mora.

Altzar passed away at the age of 52 on March 4, 1939 in Leksand.

Great book to compare different views on Revelation
Format: Kindle
Great book to learn more about contrasting views on the book of Revelation. Unfortunately many Evangelicals do not realize that there are different ways in which the book of Revelation has been approached by Christians. This is a good primer to this discussion.

Easy Read with good case studies!!
Format: Paperback
I had to purchase this for my Advanced Pathophysiology class in my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. It is very easy to understand and have pretty good case studies. I like that the CD that accompanies the book goes into some detail in explaining the cases further and the disease processes without giving you the answers to the questions. It stimulates one to think!! Once this class is over I will go back from time to time to review!!

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.
