Sharpness Across the Frame...
The optical design consists of five groups in seven elements, including three aspherical lens elements, two double-sided, to prevent spherical aberrations, so images are free from defects even at the widest aperture. Featuring ZEISS T* coating to minimise ghosting and flare when working with strong light sources, such as backlighting, to ensure natural colour reproduction, exceptional contrast and a three-dimensional feel.
Bright Aperture and Beautiful Bokeh
The bright F1.8 aperture allows the lens to perform well in low light conditions, utilising the amount of light available, as well as giving the photographer control over depth of field. Combined with a nine-blade circular aperture, the user can achieve beautifully smooth bokeh in out-of-focus background areas – direction full attention to the subject.
Resistant Design
The Sony 35mm lens has a dust and moisture resistant design to give photographers the confidence to work outdoors. The lens will continue to operate and perform highly in moderately wet or dusty conditions, so those breath-taking scenes are captured. The lens includes a cap type lens hood to contribute to the overall protection of the lens when it is being transported/not in use. Supplied with this lens is the ALC-SH129 cap-type lens hood uses 40.5mm filters, ideal for the compact lens barrel.
