Meet this stunning shower curtain adorned with an image of a painting from the year 1760. It's called The Oval Fountain in the Gardens of the Villa d'Este, Tivoli by a French artist named Hubert Robert. He traveled through Italy for over a decade and painted many landscapes and views from his journies. Interestingly, just painting regular landscapes wasn't as interesting to Robert. He specialized in what's known as "capricci", or fantasized landscape/architectural idealizations. He wanted to capture a specific effect versus get tiny details correct, and he became known very well as one of France's landscape artists and garden designers. Robert completed thousands of works throughout his lifetime. How fascinating it is to have a shower curtain tell such a story.
