The Valcom VIP-822A Dual Enhanced Network Trunk Port is engineered to bridge traditional loop-start terminal devices with modern IP-based networks. This versatile solution enables reliable connectivity to a managed LAN/WAN, delivering seamless integration of telephony with data pathways. Perfect for applications that require robust trunking, caller ID decoding, and resilient failover, the VIP-822A combines familiar hardware with contemporary networking features to support secure, scalable communications in small to mid-size deployments.

  • Flexible network and telephony interfaces: One RJ-45 network connection plus two RJ-11 FXO (foreign exchange office) ports for standard telephony access, plus two RJ-11 ports dedicated to failover telephone connections. This configuration supports reliable trunking while preserving traditional phone paths for continuity even if one path encounters issues.
  • Caller ID decoding built in: The VIP-822A decodes caller ID signals, enabling your PBX or IP-based system to identify incoming calls accurately and route them appropriately. This feature enhances call management, automation, and integration with contact databases or security workflows.
  • Status visibility at a glance: Front panel activity LED indicators and dedicated network activity LEDs provide immediate feedback on device health and network status. Quick diagnostics help technicians troubleshoot connectivity or signaling problems without interrupting service.
  • Dedicated signaling interface: A 2.5mm jack offers an additional external connection option for signaling, management, or auxiliary peripherals, enabling flexible configurations to suit unique installations or custom workflows.
  • Designed for reliable IP-based deployments: The VIP-822A is purpose-built to connect loop-start equipment to managed IP networks, supporting modern network infrastructure while preserving the integrity of traditional telephony signals. This makes it an ideal choice for organizations migrating to IP-based communications without abandoning legacy devices.

How to install Valcom Dual Enhanced Network Trunk Port

Installing the Valcom VIP-822A is straightforward and designed to minimize downtime while maximizing compatibility with existing equipment. Follow these general guidelines to deploy the Dual Enhanced Network Trunk Port in a typical office or small enterprise environment.

1) Plan your topology — Determine the location of the VIP-822A in relation to your network switch, router, and telephony lines. Identify two loop-start channels you plan to utilize as FXO inputs and the corresponding failover paths. Ensure you have access to power or the recommended power source per the product’s manual.

2) Connect network access — Use an RJ-45 Ethernet cable to connect the VIP-822A’s network port to your managed LAN/WAN. If you employ VLANs or QoS policies, configure them to prioritize signaling traffic as needed to maintain call quality and responsiveness.

3) Attach telephony lines — Connect two RJ-11 FXO lines to the FXO ports for standard telephony operation. In parallel, connect two RJ-11 cables to the failover telephone ports to provide redundancy. Ensure the line types and country-specific signaling match your local telephony standards and the requirements of your IP-based trunking environment.

4) Configure signaling and caller ID — If your deployment uses caller ID, configure the VIP-822A to decode signals and route information to your PBX or IP-PBX. Verify caller ID presentation on your test calls and adjust any required settings for compatibility with your equipment. Refer to your PBX documentation for appropriate rules and routing based on decoded caller ID data.

5) Connect peripherals and monitors — If you plan to use the 2.5mm jack for an accessory device or signaling interface, attach the peripheral according to the accessory’s installation guide. Observe front panel LEDs during power-up to confirm proper initialization and network activity. For ongoing monitoring, keep an eye on both activity LEDs to detect anomalies promptly.

6) Test and validate — Perform end-to-end tests by placing and receiving calls through the FXO ports, using the failover paths to ensure uninterrupted operation under simulated failure conditions. Confirm that the decoded Caller ID matches expectations and that network activity reflects expected traffic patterns. Adjust firewall and router settings if necessary to allow the necessary signaling ports and IP ranges.

7) Document and secure — Record your configuration details, including port mappings, trunk assignments, and failover behavior. Secure the device in a suitable enclosure if placed in a shared environment, and implement basic hardening practices for network devices to minimize exposure to threats.

The installation process is designed to minimize disruption while delivering reliable integration between legacy trunk devices and IP-based networks. If you encounter device-specific options or advanced features not covered in these general steps, consult the official installation guide or the vendor’s technical support resources for guidance tailored to your hardware and software version.

Very tight fit on 74mm Mobile 1 Filters
Color: Silver
It claims to fit "some" 74mm Mobil 1 filters. It's a fraction too small, but will work if you "force" the tool on the filter.

Works if you need help. Not a miracle in a bottle.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
It has worked every time I've used this product. Won't fix a damage catalytic converter but will help you pass the test if your car almost passed.

Worked like a charm.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Used it as directed. Down to an eighth of a tank. Poured it in and added enough gas to get back to one half a tank. Wanted to get it mixed in really well. Immediately jumped on the interstate and ran 75 MPH for 40 miles. Stopped and filled the tank and when I restarted the engine, the light was off. Coincidence? Not a chance. Light had been on continuously for weeks. AutoZone said I needed a catalytic converter. Nope. One thing I found out the hard way. If your gas filler has a flap at the top, make sure it is easy to push aside. Mine had a little release button near the top that the filler hose would depress before the flap would release. Dumped the first bottle right on the ground. Twelve bucks wasted. No one to blame but me, I guess. Still a bargain, even at twice the price.

Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1), Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I read the specs on this product and it was guaranteed to cleanse as well as turn engine light off in vehicle. I received it March 14.2026 and used it on March 15.2026 I took a picture on Sunday before I entered it into the gas tank engine light was on at that time. Today is March 17.2026 and engine light is still on. The truck was driven for one hour on the 15th 45 minutes on the 16th and 50 minutes on 17 March. Still the engine light is on. Got home parked the vehicle took a picture again to show engine light is still on product guaranteed it was shut it off, but unfortunately product does not work.
