Cacao:   Costa Esmeraldas
Origin:  Ecuador
Costa Esmeraldas is a single-estate cacao agroforestry farm owned and operated by the Salazar family in Northern Ecuador. The Salazars have rehabilitated mono-culture farmland by interplanting native trees and vegetation with their Nacional cacao and creating biodiverse wildlife corridors that attract native and endangered species throughout their farm. They also carefully and meticulously handle the delicate post-harvest fermentation and drying processes to bring out the rich, dried-fruity flavors unique to this region.

The Green Cane Project, launched in 1987, is the largest sustainable agriculture project in the world and has pioneered green cane harvesting, replacing the destructive practice of burning cane fields. They also replaced synthetic fertilizers and pesticides with natural ones, planted over 1,000,000 trees to create 11,000 acres of biodiversity islands on its 54,000 acres of farmland that attract beneficial wildlife, installed co-generation equipment to power the mill and surrounding communities, saving over 25,000 metric tons of CO2, and implemented many innovative environmental and social programs.

Sad to say Christians killed "infidels" too
Format: Paperback
A real eye-opener! Christians were killing "infidels" in the middle ages and the infidels were other Christians, Jews and Muslims.

A great book about the middle ages
Format: Paperback
If I was ignorant as most Americans are who call themselves Christian and do not know anything about the middle ages and the development and Christianity I would read this as a good over view.

Love this beautiful serving plate!
Beautiful, meaningful, loving energy radiates from this practical serving plate. I bought it as a gift for my daughter for her bridal shower. Every time she and her husband use it, it sets a loving, kind and welcoming tone for each other, and all who share a meal with them!
