Carbon Frame Cover for Honda CBR1000RR - Ilmberger Carbon

The frame cover in our unique design for the Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade 2017 blends into the motorcycle's overall appearance. The Ilmberger frame cover has cut outs for all openings in the frame, which are necessary for repair and maintenance. Also the little covers on the main frame are cut out on the Ilmberger Carbon frame cover - and of course Ilmberger also offers these little covers in carbon with the article number VEL.013.CBR17.K.  The very complex  cover for the main frame protects the frame from the steering head till the undertray of the main frame. For an easy mounting of the part, Ilmberger has already placed self adhesive strips inside the carbon part, that keep the part safely on the frame.

This part contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less, compared to other materials) and a high stiffness of the part. Like all of our carbon fibre parts, it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fibre materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts, we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.
