The Verticale SLR is Wilier's lightest racing bike ever, a testament to the company's legacy of controlled lightness and top-tier performance. It represents the new generation of Italian bicycle manufacturing, offering a racing bike that has improved weight over the Wilier 0 SLR—the previous climbing model—by almost 10% (9.73% on the kit comprising frame, fork, handlebars, and seatpost). The complete kit weighs 1623g, compared to the 0 SLR's 1798g.

Key Features:

• Outstanding Carbon: The frame is a project focused entirely on top-level performance. It uses three types of high-quality carbon fibers from Toray, a Japanese leader in the carbon fiber market: T800, T1100, and M46JB.
  
• New Integrated V-Bar: The monocoque carbon handlebar has a brand-new design, weighing approximately 310 grams. Its standout feature is a special shape with a differentiated width, where the grip area at the controls is narrower than the lower section. This was devised to provide a solution for professionals seeking optimal aerodynamic solutions that comply with UCI rules, while offering a wider low grip to guarantee better handling during sprints. The handlebar is also compatible with a purpose-designed, fully integrated aluminum computer mount.
  
• Refined Design and Components:
• Seatpost: A new carbon seatpost is redesigned with two possible setbacks, 0° and -15°. Both are equipped with special holes for installing a rear light or for affixing race numbers.
  
• Seatpost Clamp: The fastening system has been refined and is now secured diagonally from below, helping to reduce weight at this point of the frame.
  
• Asymmetrical Fork: The fork retains its characteristic asymmetrical shape. The sections on the rod housing the brake calipers have been oversized, while the right seat stay sections are lighter and thinner. A new feature is the twisted left fork stay, which improves carbon fiber orientation to better handle stress from braking.
  
• Thru Axles: The bike uses thru axles made of anodized AL 7075-T6, a blend of strength and lightness. Weighing just 64 grams per pair, these are specifically engineered for the Verticale SLR and other premium Wilier road models.
  
• Geometry: The bike features new racing geometries, with a focus on the cyclist's hand position relative to the bottom bracket. This has led to changes in both the frame and handlebar geometries to provide a product suitable for all needs and every type of rider.
