The beige 6066 CORE from DPA is a subminiature lightweight omnidirectional headset microphone with an advanced, fully adjustable, stainless steel headset mechanism. The barely noticeable, dual-ear design offers a very comfortable wearing experience for presenters and performers while the tiny 3mm mic capsule provides broadcast-quality sound up to the demanding standards of theater, TV, and live event professionals

The 6066 fits the wearer by using 3-point ear grips with spring mechanisms that grip comfortably above and below the ears and to the side of the head for added security. The 2-way adjustable boom system—length and height—features an anti-rotate mechanism that makes it easy to position the tiny 3mm mic capsule for optimal sound quality. A sliding lock mechanism secures the boom positioning. In addition, the 90° cable management system safeguards the cable from stress and directs it down the wearer's back, where it can't be seen.

DPA's CORE technology is at the heart of the electret-condenser capsule, providing an ultralow noise floor and wide dynamic range, even though this capsule is 60% smaller than comparable DPA models. With an SPL rating of 144 dB, the microphone is more than capable of handling loud speakers, vocalists, and presenters to deliver clean, transparent, and reliable sound for critical performances and presentations.

The 6066 CORE is powered by 5 to 10V plug-in power from a wireless microphone transmitter and features a modular design using a Microdot output connector. This version includes a 3-pin LEMO adapter compatible with Lectrosonics SSM, Sennheiser SK, and Wisycom MTP transmitters. A foam windscreen, protective cover, makeup cover, and carrying case are also included.

Modular System Featuring Microdot Connector with 3-Pin LEMO Adapter
Compatible Transmitters
  • Lectrosonics: Works with Lectrosonics transmitters equipped with a 3-pin LEMO connector, including the SSM and the DBu. Also supports the Sennheiser SK Series and Wisycom MTP
  • The modular design allows you to adapt the 6066's Microdot connector to a wide variety of transmitters simply by purchasing the compatible adapter—saving you the expense of buying another microphone
  • Optional XLR adapter: The DAD6001 Microdot to 3-pin XLR adapter (available separately) allows you to power the 6066 from 12 or 48V phantom power for wired applications
Broadcast-Quality Sound from a 60% Smaller Capsule
  • The 6066 headset shrinks DPA CORE technology down to a subminiature 3mm capsule that still provides an extremely low noise floor and a wide dynamic range for outstanding sound quality
  • Mic capsule's omnidirectional pickup pattern captures audio from all around the microphone and delivers consistently excellent sound quality, whether the boom is worn on the right or left side
  • Handles loud speakers and vocalists at SPL levels up to 144 dB
  • One-size-fits-all, dual-ear headset fits a wide variety of head sizes securely and comfortably.
  • 2-way adjustable, non-reflective boom with locking system
  • Unique, comfortable 3-point gripping system above, below, and behind the ear
  • 90° cable management constructed to guide the cable and minimize cable breaks
  • IP58-certified for dust and moisture resistance
  • Water-repellant Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) nano-coating of the cover and housing protects from elements yet allows mic and cable to stay extremely thin
  • Hermetic sealing protects the sensitive amplifier at the core of the mic

Good info that helps
Format: Paperback
This had info that helped our AD lockouts issues or at least ease the pain while our vendor figures it out. A powershell command that unlocks all AD users instead of having to unlock each one. In the troubleshooting section

More than just the most comprehensive book on AD
Format: Paperback
I have been working with Active Directory since it was released in 2000 and even before that if you count its predecessor Exchange's directory. I can confidently say that this is the most comprehensive book on Active Directory that I have ever read. Of course there are all of the basics like designing AD structures, migrations to AD 2022, management of objects and group policies but then all of the AD services are also covered in-depth like DNS, DS, LDS, FS, RMS and CS. Furthermore this book tackles trusts, database maintenance and backup and recovery. While not a book about Azure AD, there is a ton of information about Azure AD. The author takes the time and effort to compare AD with Azure AD and there are hundreds of references to Azure AD in terms of building out hybrid AD environments, federated identity and notes about how things are done in Azure AD versus AD. The chapter on PowerShell demonstrates scripts for both AD and Azure AD. Here is what I think makes this book special though, and it is how the entire context for the book is around security, identity and access management. Essentially this book can be viewed as a book on security, identity and access management that demonstrates how to practically implement those concepts in Active Directory and Azure AD. There is fantastic information that explains the concepts of identity and access management clearly and concisely and covers topics such as zero trust, privileged access management (PAM) and more. Then, these concepts are translated into how they are implemented in Active Directory. It's a great way to present the information as it provides real world context and clearly explains the purpose of Active Directory versus purely just describing technical features and functionality. This is the way all technical books should be written.

A great read for those who want in depth knowledge about MS Active Directory & related services
Format: Paperback
Reviewer: 20 yrs training and consulting experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, all major hypervisors, and cloud services. Active Directory along with all the related services and features are complex and many faceted topics. Books showing step by step examples are easy to come by, although not very useful since there’s plenty of Microsoft online help with the same info. What’s more important is to understand the features and related services and how to use them properly and securely. This book covers in great detail Active Directory and the related services and features. There’s also plenty of information and expertise from a security perspective. With the move to cloud services and more employees are working from home there’s a whole new level of security issues to contend with. This book contains lots of in-depth explanations that allow you to understand why certain features and services exist and how to use them. This extra depth and the author’s experience is what makes this book special. I would recommend this book for IT Professionals that already have some AD knowledge and experience. My only qualification is that I occasionally found some of the explanations confusing even after reading them over a several times. I would highly recommend this book for those who wish to understand, configure and design an AD infrastructure along with associated services including OU design, group policy, object management delegation, ADFS, Certificate Services, etc. Although the book is not about Azure AD it does cover some aspects including integrating with on-prem AD.

Detailed coverage of Active Directory
Format: Kindle
I spent several years very close to active directory but haven’t followed developments in recent years. I was interested in this book as a refresher on what’s new in the last 8-10 years – and it did not disappoint. The chapter on Advanced AD Management with PowerShell does a great job providing some background, setting the stage for why we’d want to know this, and providing some brief descriptions of various cmdlets that might be needed. My last experience with PowerShell/Active Directory required the Quest module, so seeing these native cmdlets is a nice change. The chapter on AD FS is very detailed, providing a history of the functionality, deployment topologies and considerations, as well as details on configuring the required components. This is a topic I was not familiar with before seeing this book, and it did a good job bringing me up to speed on the feature. I have not made it all the way through this book, but the sections I have completed are very good. If you are looking for a thorough reference guide on the current state of Active Directory, you should check out this book.
