Part of SIGMA’s Contemporary series, the SIGMA 30mm F1.4 Sony E Mount Lens DC DN is a standard lens designed specifically for mirrorless cameras and features high-performance technology in a compact, lightweight design. Take advantage of the bright f1.4 aperture that gives you the freedom to work in low-light conditions, the ability to control depth of field by opening and closing the aperture, as well as producing smooth background bokeh.
Bright Aperture
Enjoy the brightness of the f1.4 aperture that gives you freedom in low-light conditions. Paired with the focal length you can achieve an angle of view that is similar to human vision. You can open and close the aperture for control over depth of field, giving you the capability of achieving stunning portraits and tabletop still life shots. The 9-blade rounded diaphragm also works to achieve that desired blur in out-of-focus areas.
Impressive Optical Design
Featuring 9 elements in 7 groups including a high-refractive index lens element, high-dispersion glass for extra powerful and two aspherical lens elements. The clever placement and technology of these lenses ensures the system reduces the effects of optical aberrations to guarantee resolution is uniform throughout the focal range. These lenses give this lens a more lightweight and compact design which offers more stability when shooting handheld.
SIGMA’s Super-Multi-Layer coating works to minimise flare and ghosting so images have edge-to-edge sharpness – even in backlit conditions. The included lens hood can also be attached to block out bright light sources that may affect the rendering performance.
Fast AF Performance
The SIGMA 30mm lens features an AF stepping motor that works with the focus lens group to drive fast, accurate and smooth AF performance – making shooting videos enjoyable.
TSC
Constructed using a TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) material for a more compact structure and smooth functioning of the aperture system. As well as a brass bayonet mount to contribute to the overall durability of the lens.
Weather Resistance
The SIGMA 30mm lens has been engineered to withstand thorough everyday use. With this in mind, they have ensured the lens and mount has a dustproof and splashproof structure to ensure it can continue to operate in various environments.
This Sigma 30mm F1.4 Sony is also compatible with Sony E-mount Fast Hybrid AF.
