Live archive release. October 1, 1969, in Augusta, GA, was a homecoming for James Brown. His and his band's smoking performance at the city's Bell Auditorium was captured on tape, with an intention to make an album of the show the cornerstone of a move back to his roots. Live at Home With His Bad Self was scheduled as a lucrative holiday release. But JB and that band broke up. Soul Brother #1 called in a new, young band, featuring Bootsy Collins, and within a few weeks they recorded the funk anthem 'Sex Machine.' With the single flying up the charts and no album to promote along with it, JB scrapped the planned Live at Home album. He instead doubled down on a Sex Machine album, a part-live 2LP set that included a portion of the Augusta show. Now, finally, as James Brown intended: the full show with his celebrated '60s band. Live at Home With His Bad Self arrives on it's 50th anniversary newly mixed with seven unreleased performances that even include two actual live instrumentals, 'Lowdown Popcorn' and 'Spinning Wheel, ' that were on the original LP in studio recordings with fake applause. The package includes an essay by former James Brown tour manager and publicist Alan Leeds, a Grammy-winner who is also the co-producer of the album.

Absolutely Stunning Glitter with Thoughtful Packaging! | Rainy Rainbow

This glitter is breathtaking! The sparkles catch the light very beautifully — it has a mesmerizing, holographic shine that’s perfect for adding extra pizzazz to any project.
When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was packaged. The box was securely sealed, and everything inside was perfectly intact—minor spills, no mess.
A heads up on opening the entire thing: the round container’s Lid is screwed on VERY LOOSELY. Be mindful when you’re unboxing. Screw it back on very tightly.
The spray nozzle on this bottle gives such a beautiful, antique perfume vibe—it really elevates the whole experience. It sprays the glitter perfectly, so it’s easy to get a flawless application every time. (Don’t forget to keep the little nozzle cover to protect it!) Honestly, I wouldn’t apply it any other way than with the bottle—it just makes everything so much smoother. 🤷🏻♀️
If you happen to go overboard, just grab the closest shirt and wipe off any excess. No point in wasting any of this stuff! :)
Oh, & those two little gloss bottles are actually glue, which is perfect for keeping everything right where you need it to be.
Here’s a little pro tip: I used the same tape that kept the box sealed to reseal the lid of the round glitter container until I’m ready to use it.
Worked like a charm! 😎 It’s a small detail, but it will keep everything neat, and prevent unwanted glitter explosions in the future.
If you’re a sparkle lover, you’ll adore this glitter—it’s as pretty in person as it looks online!

90’s me be jealous 🥹

26 years later, here I am- the sparkling unicorn of an adult the late 90’s child version of myself DREAMED of while coating ✨EVERYTHING✨ in glitter and shimmer. Only now, I have an Amazon card and the impulse control of a toddler, so I sparkle now 🤩.
Am I 40 years old? Absolutely.
Did my kindergarteners at school ask why I sparkle now? Absolutely.
Did my mid-life crisis self lie to them, and say because I’m a magical unicorn? Absolutely.
Did they believe me? ABSOLUTELY.
10/10 recommend, but only if you too want to live your best magical unicorn life!
Technical notes- the smell is light and lovely. It dries without a “feel” so I forget I even have it on. The shimmer is noticeable, but not like I rolled in glitter. I’m enjoying the bronze glimmer color, but I’m sure will be back soon for more. I could easily spray more if I wanted to be more blatant with my attention seeking. I will absolutely be using this stuff from now until I’m in my grave with no shame!

Love the glitter!

This glitter body spray is everything! It’s water based so you have to shake and mix the product first before you spray. It dries quickly after that. I mixed a little with lotion too to spread it out & it still applied well which I love. I did go through half the bottle but I used it on me & my friend. Definitely worth the purchase.
