The art of Wabi Sabi layering
The Wind Origami borrows its aesthetic from the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi — the beauty of simplicity, accepted imperfection, and frozen transience. The three layers of Tyvek stacked in progressive bowls are not a gratuitous decorative style effect: each layer attenuates and softens the light passing through it, creating a luminous stratification where intensity gradually decreases towards the edges. This is precisely the principle of natural light filtered through several layers of Japanese Shoji paper. The red ring at the top is not an aesthetic whim but a deliberate reminder of the perfect Zen circle (ensō in Japanese) that accompanies the composition to anchor the object in its cultural inspiration.

The advantage of the adjustable 110-200 cm cable

The Wind Origami's cable offers rare installation flexibility: adjustable from 110 cm to 200 cm, it adapts to all residential configurations, from standard bedrooms to large architectural spaces (lofts, halls, double height). For a dining table, lower the luminaire to approximately 70-85 cm above the tabletop. For a living room, raise it to optimize overall ambient lighting. For a stairwell or atrium, install it at full height (200 cm) for an impressive vertical architectural presence. This adjustment is made during installation, without additional tools.

What you receive

1 Wind Origami pendant lamp Chosen size (Ø 75 or 100 cm), 3 stacked Tyvek layers, integrated red ring
Adjustable cable + ceiling rose White cable 110-200 cm adjustable, ceiling rose, complete mounting kit

Bulb tip. Choose an E27 warm white LED bulb (2700K), intensity 600-800 lumens, globe or Edison shape. Tyvek is an excellent natural diffuser — no need to overdo it, you will get a soft light passing through the 3 layers in delicate luminous stratification. Avoid bulbs at 5000K or more, which make the light cold and clinical, contrary to the desired Wabi Sabi spirit. To optimize the layering effect of the 3 layers, choose a frosted globe bulb that diffuses light 360° rather than a directional Edison bulb.

Wind Origami or Tense Tyvek? Both luminaires share the material Tyvek but their approaches are radically opposite. The Tense Tyvek is a single membrane stretched over steel in the shape of a flattened feather, with a contemporary minimalist aesthetic. The Wind Origami is a composition of 3 layered bowls, with a Japanese Wabi Sabi aesthetic and a signature red ring. Choose Tense for a unique airy graphic silhouette, Wind Origami for a meditative stratified sculptural presence. You can even combine them in a large project (Tense above the living room, Wind Origami above the dining table).

Tyvek precautions. Tyvek paper is resistant and durable but is sensitive to moisture and chemicals. Dry clean only: regular dusting with a natural feather duster or a soft dry microfiber cloth is sufficient. Absolutely avoid water, cleaning sprays, and solvents, which could permanently stain the Tyvek. Handle the 3 stacked layers with care during installation and dusting — each layer is individually fixed and can be gently moved to access adjustments.

Meditative design gift. The Wind Origami is a significant gift for lovers of Japanese, Japandi, or Wabi Sabi aesthetics. The Small (Ø 75 cm) format is suitable for classic residential interiors (living room, bedroom, compact dining room) — an accessible and refined gift. The Large (Ø 100 cm) format becomes a true architectural piece for a large living room, loft, or hall — an exceptional gift for a major renovation or property project inauguration. The signature red ring adds a quirky personal touch that distinguishes this luminaire from other Tyvek pendants.

Frequently asked questions

Why 3 layered sheets?
The 3 layered bowls have an aesthetic and luminous function. Aesthetically, they create an airy wedding cake effect that evokes the stratification of clouds or the tiers of a Japanese pagoda. Luminous-wise, each layer attenuates and progressively diffuses the light passing through it — a single layer would provide uniform diffusion, while three layers create a luminous stratification where the intensity subtly varies from the center to the edges. This is precisely the principle of light filtered through several layers of Japanese shoji paper.
What is the Wabi Sabi aesthetic?
Wabi Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic philosophy that celebrates the beauty of simplicity, accepted imperfection, and transience. Where classical Western design seeks geometric perfection and symmetry, Wabi Sabi values natural variations, marks of time, asymmetry, and raw materials. The Wind Origami embodies this philosophy: Tyvek material with subtle variations, imperfect bowl shapes, a red ring as a reminder of the ensō (perfect Zen circle). It is an object for a meditative and contemplative interior.
What is the role of the red ring at the top?
The red ring is both a signature graphic element and a cultural reference. Visually, it provides a strong chromatic accent that contrasts with the translucent whiteness of Tyvek — without this ring, the luminaire would be monochrome and lose its character. Culturally, it evokes the ensō, the spontaneously painted circle in Zen calligraphy, which symbolizes enlightenment, strength, and elegance. Red is also the traditional color of Japanese temples — a signature rooted in the luminaire's aesthetic inspiration.
Which size to choose: 75 or 100 cm?
The small model (Ø 75 cm) is suitable for standard residential interiors: living room, bedroom, compact dining room, spacious office. Allow for a minimum ceiling height of 2.40 m. The large model (Ø 100 cm) is designed for large architectural spaces: large living room, entrance hall, loft, 8-seater or more dining table, atrium. Allow for a minimum ceiling height of 2.80 m to preserve the airy effect. Both models share the same height of 45 cm — only the diameter changes.
How does the 110-200 cm cable adjustment work?
The supplied white cable is manually adjustable during installation between 110 cm (shortest configuration) and 200 cm (longest configuration). This adjustment is made at the time of assembly, without additional tools. For a dining table, adjust to 110-140 cm to position the luminaire 70-85 cm above the tabletop. For a living room, adjust to 140-170 cm for optimal ambient lighting. For a stairwell or atrium, raise to 200 cm for maximum architectural presence.
Is Tyvek fragile?
Tyvek is an amazingly resistant material — it is used in architecture, aerospace, and high-fashion textiles precisely for its robustness coupled with its lightness. It resists tears, folds, and UV rays with remarkable dimensional stability. However, it is sensitive to prolonged moisture and chemicals. Avoid installation in an open kitchen above cooking hobs, in bathrooms, and clean exclusively dry. With these precautions, Tyvek retains its original appearance for many years.
Which bulb should I choose?
An E27 warm white LED (2700 Kelvin), with an intensity of 600 to 800 lumens, ideally a frosted globe shape. Why a frosted globe? The 360° diffusion of a globe bulb is amplified by the three layers of Tyvek to create the characteristic light stratification. Why 2700K? The ambient warmth is the spirit of Wabi Sabi lighting – light that is too cool would break the desired meditative aesthetic. Absolutely avoid bulbs at 5000K or higher, and prioritize modern LED to protect the Tyvek from excessive heat.

These Bamboo Pillowcases Made Me Realize I Sleep Hot
Color: 07 - Cream, Size: Queen (20" X 30"), Color: 07 - Cream, Size: Queen (20" X 30")
I bought these mostly because I kept hearing people talk about bamboo pillowcases and honestly thought it sounded a little overhyped, but I totally get it now. The first thing I noticed was how cool they felt compared to regular cotton. I tend to get warm when I sleep and flip my pillow a million times during the night looking for the cold side, and these actually stay noticeably cooler longer. They also feel really soft without having that weird slippery texture some silky pillowcases have. My skin has been less irritated lately and my hair definitely looks less frizzy in the mornings. I have thick hair that tangles easily overnight, and these have helped more than I expected. Another thing I appreciate is that they’ve washed well so far. I was worried they’d pill or lose softness after a wash cycle, but they still feel smooth and nice. They also just make the bed feel cleaner and more comfortable overall. One of those small upgrades that ends up making a bigger difference than you’d think.

Sheets are good. Greens don't match
Color: 08 - Sage Green, Size: King (20" X 36"), Color: 08 - Sage Green, Size: King (20" X 36")
I purchased the sage green sheets to go along with another Bedsure comforter, then purchased 2 more pillow cases (because i I like a lot of pillows) and the greens don't exactly match. This doesn't REALLY bother me as I feel like its fine with a little "texture." Sheets feel nice and light and I love the look of it in my room.

Good buy Pillowcases
Color: 08 - Sage Green, Size: King (20" X 36")
I bought these Bedsure king-size pillowcases from Amazon and overall I’m very happy with them. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly soft and smooth the fabric feels. They almost feel silky, which makes them very comfortable to sleep on. When you lay your head down, the material feels cool and gentle on the skin, which I really like. I also appreciate the zipper closure. It keeps the pillow securely inside the case and makes everything look neat and tidy on the bed. The zipper is hidden well and doesn’t feel bulky or uncomfortable. The only small downside is that the pillowcases are so smooth that the pillows can sometimes slide around or even slip off the bed a little. However, that’s really just because the material is so silky. Overall, I would still recommend these pillowcases. They are soft, comfortable, and feel like a nice upgrade compared to regular pillowcases.
