About the Artist:
Currently based in sunny Los Angeles, I make visuals for entertainment advertising, which is basically my dream job. I focus on rich storytelling through movement and vibrant color, hoping to evoke a sense of magic and whimsy.
My influence casserole has many layers. I'm delighted by cracks in old walls, architectural ornament, elaborate European fountains and deep sea giant isopods are also muses. I love perfume labels from the 1920's, gas station signs from the 1950's, and dripping colors on a rusted tin can. I'm in love with Japanese fairytales and myth-like magic things drawn with minimal lines that exude with emotion. All these velvety notions seem to creep into my work.
I get to use these interests in developing concepts for TV and Film, storyboards for commercials, and combine illustration and hand-lettering for book covers and album covers. I work for a handful of ad agencies and draw whatever they need. It's so fun.
