There are several rock art carvings (Petroglyphs) on rock surfaces from the prehistoric inhabitants of the Valley of Fire (Ancestral Puebloans - also known as the Anasazi) who occupied the area from 300 BC to 1150 AD. The day I visited was well over 100 degrees and I saw multiple Petroglyphs on multiple rock formations along with Lizards, Ram and other wildlife. The large rock pictured has multiple carvings along the top half.
