The Rolls Bellari HA540 MK2 is a headphone amp intended to work with a wide array of cans, from consumer to audiophile-grade. The amp utilizes a 12AX7 tube running at 150V. As such, the HA540 MK2 produces a clear, powerful sound when paired with CD players, computers, or DACs.
On the front of the unit you'll find 1/4" and 3.5mm stereo headphone jacks, as well as a prominent volume knob. The rear gives you RCA and 3.5mm inputs on channel one and RCA connections on channel two. Switch between the two inputs with the Input Select button on the front.
A RUBY 12AX7 is supplied with the amp, though you can swap it out with an ECC83 or other variants of the 12AX7 design. While almost all the gain comes from the tube stage, the output section is powered with MOSFET circuitry for a weighty sound, one that offers solidity of tone and a real analog feel. There is no feedback circuit or integrated circuit in the audio path. A 15V power supply is included.
