A sonic cross-continental experience, Mummer Love is the second album in the Perfect Vision triptych collaboration between Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith. For this body of work, Soundwalk Collective journeyed to Africa to explore the intricacies of Arthur Rimbaud's most obscure period. After leaving France and what he deemed the 'western stagnation', Rimbaud found himself in Harar, Ethiopia - an epicenter of Sufism in Africa. Sufi practice focuses on the renunciation of worldly things, the purification of the soul and the mystical contemplation of God's nature. A strand within the wider Islam religion, it focuses on spirituality, meditation and chanting sessions. Sufi music is about reaching a communal ecstatic state, and once you find yourself there, you are granted access to the unknown. Stephan Crasneanscki from Soundwalk Collective spent time with the Sufi masters in Harar to record their music and chants in the shrine, of which he says: "You obtain connections to other levels of yourself and consciousness. This connection, like poetry, is a universal language. A language of the soul, for the soul."

not very long lasting
I like the fact that they have no stuffing. My 20-pound dog chewed through these in no time and got the squeaker out and tried to eat it. My dog enjoyed tearing it apart. I had to chase him around to get the squeaker out of his mouth. The size is great for a medium sized dog. However, it lasted only minutes before it was ruined.

Excellent for small dog!
These are very colorful and well made. They are flat, but wonderfully crinkly. Good sturdy material for medium to small dog. Looks like they will last a long time. My dog loves them.

Dog loves even though they are thin product dog loves them and Picks Them out of many many toys.
These were super thin and I thought about tearing a hole in them and putting in a slight bit of stuffing. However, my dog absolutely loves them and we fling them across the house and the yard like little Frisbees. They are very lightweight but kind of a corduroy stitched fabric and they have lasted quite some time and been through the washer and dryer many times and abused. Still holding up and the dog loves them. Highly recommend a great product for the price.

Will Buy Again--Eventually as they are hearty
My dog loves these "trash babies" as the size, squeaker & trash /cellphane sound the crinkle toy makes brings her joy. this brings me joy as the stitching is hearty and toys hold up when cleaned in my washing machine & dryer. Her first trash baby is still going strong after a year tho the crinkle sound has dimminshed some the sweaker is good as new. I bought these to rotate to wash and keep a new one for travel. Very durable! good size for my 20 pound mini aussie.
