Two years on from his last outing, The Follower (KOMP 130CD/KOM 350LP, 2016), Axel Willner puts on his Field suit again to present his sixth full-length effort for Kompakt, Infinite Moment. Infinite Moment sees him striding further across the deeper, richer rims of the hue cycle. In Willner's own words, "the threshold of creating something new had to be broken", as had been done with his past albums, including his acclaimed debut From Here We Go Sublime (KOMP 057CD/KOMRSD 002LP, 2007). For Willner, "stepping outside of the studio opened up fresh perspectives on the creation of new music"; it was the opening cut, "Made Of Steel, Made Of Stone", that got him into the flux of things, "making of the rest of the album easier as I went". Substituting the up-tempo vim of his previous pieces for a sense of mind-expanding horizontality, Infinite Moment is an album filled with hope and draped in a diffuse, appeasing light, easing the pain and troubles of the human soul through a lushly forested recital of shoegazing modular, complex textural interplays and solar, atmospheric fractals. "Made Of Steel, Made Of Stone" gets the ball rolling on a thumping down-tempo note, which as Willner explains, "gives me a lot of hope". "Hope is something I've been missing in the nowadays climate and this album is a relief to me, a type of comfort, like a moment that feels good and you don't want to end." "Divide Now" is a sonic mitosis, engaging the metamorphosis to come; like a larvae pupating and reemerging weeks later from under rough bark in the form of a butterfly - fluttering breaks shed their skin to make way for a more intimate and hypnotic second chapter. "Hear Your Voice" propels the lavish, pad-upholstered glamour of it's melodic lines in a bolder syncopated re-visitation of 1980s-indebted pop harmonics, while "Something Left, Something Right, Something Wrong" returns to a flaring post-euphoric daze. A more arrhythmic affair, "Who Goes There" spins out into orbit wildly, fusing acid bass moves with a haunting motorik, playing with the listener's mind intensely before the ten-minute-long epic "Infinite Moment" ushers it's listener into a highly immersive final ballet of buzzing chords, trampling drums and all-consuming drones. This album is a direct soul-to-soul transmission, aiming no further than at finding the right balance between contained emotion and an expressive eloquence.

Cheap broken box and no bag, allow pieces to fall out and are now missing….

Tiny little puzzle with no picture and missing pieces….
What you should receive is a very small box, a little larger than a lighter or the size of a key fob. The box is very light weight and flimsy. Mine arrived crushed on the bottom corner and ripped. This is similar to a candy box. Same type and weight. The pieces are not in a bag at all so when my box arrived in the condition it was in, and nothing sealed, of course pieces are missing. There are supposed to be to be 26 and I don’t have but half. They all fell out of the box like candy falls out of a broken box.
The puzzle itself is done by laser and the pieces I do have fit together well but, the color is off. I believe they use a stain and the ink has spread into the other pieces next to them. The color is deep and intense and most is accurately done but some pieces have multiple colors that are not in the right place. Some pieces I can’t tell which side is the front and which side is the back. The pieces are also so small, with so much information crammed on, I can’t make it out as I work on it or once it’s completed the best I can with only part of the pieces. I am disappointed with the whole thing and can only say the laser cutting was done well. Other than that, I wouldn’t order again, especially for a souvenir.

Durable Wooden Puzzle, but the Visuals are Disappointing

I picked this up to get ready for the 2026 World Cup hype. While it’s a cool idea for a collectible, the final result is a bit of a letdown visually.
The Material
The best thing about this puzzle is that it’s made of wooden pieces rather than the typical thin cardboard you find in cheap puzzles. This gives it a nice weight and makes it feel much more durable. The pieces fit together well and it feels like it will last a long time.
The Problem: Distracting Black Outlines
The main reason for the 3-star rating is the printing and cut quality. As you can see in my photos, the black outlines around every single piece are way too noticeable.
Instead of the pieces blending together to create a smooth, clean image of the World Cup graphics, the whole thing looks "choppy" and fragmented.
Up close, the black seams really take away from the design, making the overall picture look less premium than it does in the stock photos.
Final Verdict
If you just want a quick, sturdy wooden activity for a soccer fan, this is fine. But if you’re looking for a high-quality display piece to show off your 2026 excitement, the heavy black lines might bother you. It’s a decent "mid-tier" collectible, but it could have been much better with a more seamless print.

Premium Quality, Beautiful Puzzle

I will preface this by saying that I am not usually a big fan of puzzles. Puzzles I’ve done in the past are too flimsy and there’s been too much guesswork about whether pieces actually go together. But As a huge fan of the World Cup, this puzzle was a must-have. It far exceeded my expectations! The craftsmanship is outstanding. Each of the pieces is made from thick, high-quality wood (the 5mm thickness really makes a difference), giving it a premium feel that you don’t get with standard cardboard puzzles. There’s a satisfying feel when 2 pieces go together. It actually felt like an accomplishment to finish the whole thing. The fact that it comes with a backing that allows you to permanently fix it in place and display it is another added touch that I loved. It’s just under 12 inches in diameter once complete, which looks great on the wall if you decide to hang yours once finished. I think it’s a great value when compared to standard cardboard puzzles. You can tell that there is actually a lot of thought placed into creating this puzzle.
What really sets this puzzle apart are the unique piece shapes. There are about 10 pieces that are made in themed shapes, like the Statue of Liberty, soccer players, a cleat, etc. Somehow, despite these pieces being there, the puzzle was still a challenge which took me about 2 1/2 hours to finish.
This would make an amazing gift for any soccer fan or puzzle enthusiast, especially with the excitement building around the 2026 tournament.

Officially Licensed, Officially Priced!

Let me first state that this is a nice package. It's officially licensed, includes everything you need to convert it to make it a permanent decoration (or at least an every four years decoration), and is of very high quality.
The pieces are really cool, I love the variety and the recognizable items. I really only have two complaints:
1. The price. It says FIFA, so you pay for it. This is a high price for a wooden puzzle of this size, as they are usually at least $10 less, plus it's always a bummer giving FIFA any more money.
2. There is a VERY strong chemical aroma, which will hopefully dissipate. The puzzle is shipped in plastic, so hopefully a little more time out of the plastic will improve that aspect.
Overall it's a fun puzzle. I found the black around the trophy to be a bit challenging, but the crazy shapes of the pieces make it easier than it would be with standard puzzle pieces. Plus the unique recognizable pieces help!
I'll give it a solid 4/5 despite my disdain for FIFA and the premium price - that is after-all justifiable to some degree given that we're a couple of months away from the World Cup. The one star deduction is purely down to the chemical aroma.
