The Kramer Minicom AVDS is a scalable distribution system engineered to deliver computer graphics video up to 1080p and mono audio across CAT5 networks. Featuring a broadcaster, a splitter, and multiple receivers, this system makes it possible to extend a single input signal to hundreds of displays with reliability and centralized control. Ideal for digital signage, control rooms, classrooms, corporate lobbies, event venues, and rental spaces, the AVDS enables flexible layouts, consistent image quality, and simpler cabling compared to traditional point-to-point connections. Whether you’re upgrading a boardroom, outfitting a campus lecture hall, or deploying a large-scale signage network, the AVDS provides a robust framework for distributing high-definition video and audio to many displays over standard CAT5 wiring.

  • 1080p video support with mono audio over CAT5: The AVDS is designed to carry high-definition graphics video up to 1080p alongside mono audio signals, enabling synchronized visual content across multiple displays without sacrificing signal integrity.
  • Scalable architecture with broadcaster, splitter, and receivers: The system’s core components — a broadcaster, a splitter, and multiple receivers — work in concert to distribute a single input signal across a large network of displays, simplifying installation and reducing cabling complexity.
  • Hundreds of displays from a single source: Built for large-scale deployments, the AVDS enables wide-area distribution to hundreds of displays, making it suitable for expansive digital signage networks, university campuses, corporate campuses, and control rooms that require centralized content management.
  • Optimized for versatile environments: The distribution system is designed to operate in environments ranging from educational facilities to commercial spaces, delivering consistent picture quality and dependable audio across multiple screens in rooms of varying size and seating configurations.
  • User-friendly deployment and maintenance: With a streamlined design that emphasizes straightforward setup and easy maintenance, the AVDS helps technicians deploy, troubleshoot, and expand an AV network with minimal downtime and fewer cables.

How to install Kramer Minicom AVDS CAT5 Audio Video Display Power Remote

  • Plan your layout: Identify the location of the input source, the central distribution hub, and the display endpoints. Determine cable routes to minimize interference and ensure clean signal paths.
  • Prepare the components: Unpack the broadcaster, splitter, and receivers. Inspect cables and connectors to verify compatibility with CAT5 networking and your display inputs.
  • Connect the input source: Attach the video and mono audio output from your computer graphics source to the broadcaster’s input ports. Ensure the connections are secure and oriented correctly to prevent signal loss.
  • Lay CAT5 distribution cables: Run CAT5 cables from the broadcaster to the splitter, and from the splitter to each receiver in the network. Keep runs as short as possible and avoid tightly coiled cables to preserve signal integrity. If you must traverse long distances, plan for proper cable management and strain relief.
  • Set up receivers at each display: Connect each receiver to its corresponding display using the appropriate video interface (HDMI, DVI, or other supported input). Confirm that each display is powered and configured to receive the incoming signal.
  • Power and synchronization: Apply power to the broadcaster, splitter, and receivers. If the system supports remote control or centralized power management, connect those components according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and enable synchronization features as needed.
  • Configure network behavior: If there are any configuration options for routing, channel selection, or display grouping, set them up to match your installation plan. Document the layout and groupings for future maintenance and expansion.
  • Test the installation: Start with a single display to verify video and mono audio fidelity. Gradually add more receivers and displays, checking for color accuracy, brightness consistency, and audio synchronization across the network. Adjust display settings as necessary to harmonize the overall presentation.
  • Optimize for reliability: Label cables, secure connections, and keep power supplies in well-ventilated areas. Use cable ties or cable management panels to reduce pull forces and potential signal interference. Maintain documentation of component IDs and their locations for troubleshooting and future expansions.
  • Documentation and maintenance: Keep a record of the system configuration, cable schematics, and any firmware or software updates provided by Kramer. Schedule periodic checks to ensure ongoing performance and refer to the user guide for troubleshooting common issues.

Excellent Strong Bags - Quick-Tie Feature is Genius!
Scent: Unscented, Size: 21 Count (Pack of 1)
These Glad Quick-Tie trash bags have become my go-to garbage bags for the kitchen. I've been through several boxes now and they consistently perform exceptionally well. The quick-tie drawstring closure is the standout feature. Instead of fumbling with traditional bag ties or trying to tie knots that never quite work, I just pull the red drawstring tabs and the bag closes securely in seconds. It's so much faster and cleaner, especially when dealing with heavy or messy loads. The closure stays tight and doesn't come undone during transport to the outdoor bin. Strength is impressive for 30-gallon bags. I regularly fill these to capacity with kitchen waste, food scraps, packaging, and they hold up without tearing or leaking. The plastic feels thick and durable - I haven't had a single tear or puncture even when dealing with sharp edges from cans or rigid packaging. No leaks, no messes on my floor. The 30-gallon size is perfect for my standard kitchen trash can. The bags fit properly without being too loose or too tight, and there's enough material to fold over the rim for a secure fit. When it's time to change the bag, removal is effortless thanks to the quick-tie system. Value is decent - while these aren't the cheapest bags on the market, the convenience and reliability make them worth the slight premium. Not having to deal with bag failures, spills, or difficult closures saves time and hassle. The 21-count box lasts me about three weeks with daily use. I appreciate that Glad has perfected what seems like a simple product. These bags just work reliably every single time. Highly recommend for anyone tired of dealing with inferior trash bags!

Fantastic towels at a great price on subscribe and save
Package Size Name: Family, Size: 286 Count (Pack of 6)
As an oil painter, Viva are the gold standard for wiping brushes and whatever else you need a towel for while painting. I bought them for that purpose. I didn’t count on loving these paper towels for every other paper towel duty in my home. These paper towels are incredibly hardy, and perform much like a thin cloth towel. They last and last. I can rinse and reuse a towel to clean all the kitchen counters plus clean the stainless steel gas cooktop. All with one section of paper towels. I couldn’t do anything close with any other brand I’ve used. I love the select a size feature. For quick cleanups, one section is more than adequate. I’ve used one section in my swifter handle when I’m out if swifter cloths (which is always- I never buy those things), and used both sides of the towel to dust mop my wood floors. I use these to dust my home with a little spray wax, cleaned the tires on my car with no towel shredding, and scrubbed the filthy barbecue with bleach cleanser, rinsed it out, and scrubbed some more. These towels are tough yet soft, sturdy and disposable. They are soft enough to use as a napkin, and absorb like crazy. I buy mine by the case from Amazon subscribe and save every three or four months, and love saving 20% doing so.

Viva is the best and, by usage, the most economical paper towel
Package Size Name: Family, Size: 286 Count (Pack of 6)
Still basically the same Viva. I compared this version with the prior one I still had on hand. This one has a slightly woven vs felted appearance and the side against the roll is slightly rougher or textured, while the outside face is slightly smoother. The inside face looks as if it might leave lint, maybe. Half sheet size is the same and both versions absorbed one ounce of water. Both seemed equally thick, judging by the amount of see-through-ness, both dry and wet. Both seemed equally tough wet. This version clings to the roll less firmly, too. Viva is the very best AND the least expensive paper towel available based on how long it lasts. It takes weeks to go through a roll, especially if you realize a sheet can be reused to wipe up more than one small mess while you cook and you need many fewer to clean up the big messes. Use one to dry a pot and leave it by the cutting board to wipe up. If you're used to ordinary paper towels, there may be a period of adjustment, but try to take just one sheet instead of the 4 you may think you need; you can always get another. They can scrub an iron skillet or pat dry your food. They make the best handkerchief substitutes, too. One subscribe and save box lasts me about a year.
