The inner rim width of 25mm is effective for road tires with a minimum width of 30mm, providing aerodynamics and improved rolling resistance, as well as compatability for wider gravel tires, which will have a solid support for off road use. To ensure that the rim can be used for tubeless systems and with inner tubes, it features mini-hooks that provide maximum safety. The internal rim base is closed and therefore tubeless ready without the need for any additional sealing tape.
The new, patent-pending design of the rim is the result of an experimental development process in which the interaction of different variants with headwinds and crosswinds, which influence handling and aerodynamics, was analyzed. The resulting shape is called the 2-Wave rim and is one of the characteristic elements of SHARQ. The rim has a regular symmetrical wave at the rim nose, which merges into an asymmetrical wave at the flanks. The height of the profile varies between 42 and 47 mm, measured from the highest to the lowest part of the wave. With this new design, Fulcrum Sharq wheelset achieves an optimum balance between handling and responsiveness with excellent aerodynamics. Designed for road or gravel
