Why people choose it

The Eurotech Tempur-Pedic Apollo Drafting Stool (TPDFT9800) is a height-elevated ergonomic drafting chair built around a breathable, color-coordinated mesh back and a contoured, padded waterfall seat. Its extended seat-height range and footring make it a practical seating choice for standing-height desks, drafting tables, lab benches, reception counters, and home-office workstations where a standard task chair sits too low.

Why people choose it

  • Breathable mesh back — the color-coordinated mesh backrest promotes airflow against the back during long seated sessions.
  • Waterfall seat edge — the front of the cushion slopes down to reduce pressure behind the knees and ease circulation.
  • Wide seat-height range — adjusts from 23.2" up to 32.7", reaching counter and drafting-table heights a standard chair can't.
  • Adjustable arms — arms move up/down for height and in/out for width, so they can be positioned to support your forearms correctly.
  • Ratchet back-height adjustment — the backrest steps up or down by 2.8" to place lumbar support where your back needs it.

Overview

The Apollo is a perennial favorite, combining value, comfort, adjustability and quality, and featuring a breathable, color-coordinated mesh back that matches the comfortably contoured and padded waterfall seat. Configured here as a drafting stool, it pairs that mesh-back-and-cushioned-seat platform with a tall pneumatic cylinder and footring for elevated work surfaces.

Best pour-over coffee maker
This pour-over is my favorite. I've tried metal mesh and ceramic pour-over. This set up is the best, it aerates the coffee as you pour.

I Was WRONG!!!
I ordered this because I wanted to try it out. First, make sure that you have the correct filters available or you will get irritated too... It uses a V02 filter (the small triangular kind). Then after reading the instructions I realized how many steps are required to make a cup or two of coffee with this contraption... : ) I would really recommend making yourself familiar with this type coffee brewing PRIOR to making this your first cup of coffee in the morning! lol I also didn't have a Gooseneck-style teapot (I did get by without it, but I can see where you will want that style of teapot to make the pouring process more precise!), but I improvised and used a regular teapot and it did work. Keeping in mind, I had NO idea what a pour-over coffee pot involved to make a cup of coffee, hadn't had any caffiene yet and have been battling a virus for over a week now, up until I tried the coffee I was ready to complain about this coffee pot... Then I tried the coffee...OH MY!!! This was one of the BEST cups of coffee I have ever had! I used old, bleached white coffee filters, some flavored, pre-ground Cameron's coffee (so not even a strong grind), and I couldn't shut up! This is one FABULOUS coffee maker! I am SOLD on a pour-over style brewed coffee! If you have never tried one of these, please do! It makes a fabulous cup of coffee!

Just as described
Like I needed one more thing on my countertop! But it's coffee, so I'll make it work out. This is first product of it's type that I've used. I've seen it offered in coffee shops and thought that slower drip process must create a nice coffee. So, I've tried and I love it. Just follow the instructions, and get the filters at the same time or pick some up at your grocery store. If you're like me, you'll want to try it out right away. I enjoy a dark roast and this really improved the flavor of my usual brand of coffee. The only thing that concerns me is the beaker is made of pretty thin glass. I'm wondering if thicker glass would also help to keep the brew hot as I make enough for two cups. Overall, I'm really happy to have found this.

Durable glass coffee container, nice to use
Previously, we were using an old metal coffee can to store our coffee. The problem is that because it was not transparent, we found ourselves frequently running out of coffee. Out of sight, out of mind. This glass container lets us see how much coffee we have left, but the fact that the glass bottom didn't appear to be reinforced had concerned me somewhat, particularly because our kitchen counter is hard ceramic tile. Well, it seems that these glass containers are made of borosilicate glass, which is a special glass made with boron that has superior strength and durability. Apparently, borosilicate glass is made at a higher temperature, and slowly cooled to room temperature in a process called annealing. Annealing involves controlled cooling to relieve internal stresses and improve the strength and durability of the glassware. Still, I wish that the base of the glass container was thicker, like most bottles and jars. The lid fits on snug and airtight, and there is a button on top that you can push to pump out air and create a vacuum seal. I cannot comment on the worth of this nifty aspect, as the taste of our coffee has not noticeably changed after we began storing our beans in this container. Still, it is a nice container, it looks nice, appears to function well, and hasn't cracked yet. It even comes with a small sturdy steel coffee scoop. And we get to see our coffee all day long.
