Now Hannah and her exemplary, Bristol-based band the Affirmations deliver a definitive career statement with the drop-dead soulful new album 50 Foot Woman which will be released October 18th on the Milan based imprint Record Kicks. The album captures all of the visceral power of the band's increasingly legendary live performances. Shades of classic Soul and Psychedelic Funk blend uniquely with modern-day flavors on a record destined to set the soul agenda for 2019 and far beyond. "I've never been as proud of anything in my entire career" says Hannah. Born in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, Williams' father was a musically gifted minister, and her mother let her join the church choir at the age of six. Hannah could read music before she could properly read words, and when she discovered soul by listening with her mum to Motown and Bill Withers, there was no turning back. After a 2012 debut with her previous band the Tastemakers, it was 2016's Late Nights & Heartbreak that announced the arrival of Hannah Williams and the Affirmations. But little did she know that Jay-Z was listening. One day, at her then-day job running the music department at the University of Winchester, he sent her a text. Once she'd established that it wasn't a wind-up, and summoned the courage to call him back, she learned that Jay-Z's producer, No I.D., had played him Hannah's track to inspire his response to Beyoncé's Lemonade, on which she sang of his infidelities. Williams was as in the dark about how 'Late Nights & Heartbreak' would be used until 4:44 dropped. But the substantial sample of her voice opened doors she never dreamed of. "It was an incredible catalyst," she says, "as a change in our collective career, and getting a global audience. Suddenly, there were millions of predominantly American hip-hop fans listening to my voice, going 'Is this from the '60s? Is she dead?'" What followed was a year of the band's widest-ever touring including an invitation to perform at Central Park Summer Stage NY, Toronto Jazz Festival and Brooklyn Bowl NY and expanded audiences in continental Europe where she and the Affirmations had already made a mark. Then came the burning determination to make the record of their lives. The captivating 50 Foot Woman is that album, produced by Shawn Lee, a respected presence on the funk/soul scene whose credits include Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey and Alicia Keys. Lee has released five solo albums as Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra on San Francisco label Ubiquity Records and is also one half of the cool melodic pop duo Young Gun Silver Fox. Now the world will hear what the cognoscenti have known for a while: that Hannah Williams is the real deal, and sings from her very soul. "I feel like my performance comes from my solar plexus," she says. "The emotional side of it is so intrinsic; I can't take it away from what I do."

Great Ergonomic Support and Fit, with Minor Adjustment Caveats

As someone who is 5'4" and 140 lbs, the size of the chair feels ideal, and the seat cushion is spacious without feeling overwhelmingly large. The breathable mesh material is high quality, keeping me cool during long working sessions while still feeling sturdy. The back support and adjustable lumbar feature aligns perfectly with my spine and has noticeably reduced my posture fatigue. The height adjustment mechanism operates smoothly to align perfectly with my desk, and the assembly process was surprisingly straightforward, taking less than 20 minutes with clear instructions and tools included. My only slight hesitations are regarding armrests not being long enough. The wheels are not easy to roll on carpet and require a bit of extra effort to move. Maybe a chair mat might be helpful on carpeted floors. However, for the price, the comfort and build are impressive.

High quality and incredible customer service

This is an extremely well made chair at a very competitive price. The packaging, assembly instructions, as well as the way the hardware was packaged and labeled is probably the best I've seen. I'm particular about tools, and the included allen wrench was better than the normal "included tools" so much so that i actually used it rather than one of my own. The assembly was easy, and the chair itself looks and feels very high quality, and is very comfortable. Perhaps best of all was the level of customer service. I emailed on a weekend to activate the warranty and request the free cushion they offer. I got a personal response in less than a day and they offered upgraded wheels for free as well. This is a company worth doing business with.

Great product AND customer service!

I'm having a hard time writing this review because I can't tell which one I like better: the product or the customer service!
I work on a computer all day, so a comfortable office chair is critical for me. This chair is great - it's adjustable in every way I need it to be, especially the armrests. The breathable mesh is both durable and supportive, and is more comfortable to sit in than the "overstuffed" chair it replaced.
Let me just say: no company provides better customer service than MOLENTS. Right after assembling my chair (which was very easy, btw), I registered for the 2 year warranty they offer. The NEXT DAY I received an email from Alice in their customer service department 1) to confirm my warranty, 2) to tell me about the free foam seat cover they were sending me, and 3) to make sure the chair was comfortable and easy to assemble. Very few companies take the effort to follow up with customers right after making a purchase like that.
I'm extremely happy with this purchase. This chair is worth MORE than it's weight in gold, and I strongly recommend to anyone thinking about buying an office chair to buy it from MOLENTS - you won't regret it.
Oh, and if Alice's supervisors are reading this: she absolutely deserves a promotion!

Great value and a good chair

Great chair for the price. Not as solid as an Ergo but it's not thousands of dollars either. It's pretty easy to assemble and the directions are good. It rolls well on LVP flooring and they offer 'upgraded' wheels at no cost from what I can tell. I didn't order them since the included ones work perfectly.
I'm 6'4" and both the seat and arm heights can be adjusted to fit me well. The mesh seat is comfortable and the back works fine. The only downside for me is that the lumbar support doesn't adjust quite high enough to actually reach my lumbar area, but I think it would work for most folks.
Overall it's hard to argue with the cost and even if it only lasts a few years it's worth the money.

Great Chair and Outstanding Customer Service

I desperately needed a new office chair. I ordered this chair with the mesh seat and it spike up my sciatica. I reached out to the company and Alice took great care to address the issue. She sent me a new seat with a foam cushion and it resolved the issue immediately. The chair is incredibly comfortable with the lumbar support, adjustability and foot support. She also sent me upgraded wheels as my chair is on a thin chair mat on hard wood floors. Alice was extremely responsive with possible options and very thorough with instructions on how to replace the seat. It is a high quality chair that I anticipate will last me quite some time. I highly recommend this company and will definitely order products from them again should the need arise. Thank you, Alice!!
