An ambitious and expansive update of their warm, hypnotic drone-pop encompassing gently pulsing electronics, chiming guitars, minimalist piano, acoustic and synthesised drones, noise, improv all in the service of the band's most assured and experimental songwriting yet. Features guest contributions from (amongst others) celebrated singer Ed Dowie, noise group Far Rainbow, fellow space-pop travellers Firestations and the string quartet Iskra Strings. It draws on all aspects of the band's work so far, from indie guitar pop to ambient atmospherics, via surging rhythms and layered, melancholic vocals. This is the band's second album and is the official follow up to 2015's debut Daylight Versions (5* The Guardian). It begins with 'In Doors And Out Through Windows', a minimal piano and vibraphone incantation in 7/4 with unsettling repetition and melancholy brass swells. 'Hissing Waves' is the most pop the band have ever sounded, with it's skipping Insides-esque electronics and looping verses. 'Patience' (vocals by Ed Dowie) is the closest the band come to the sound of 'Daylight Versions', cresting on waves of guitars and an insistent synth arpeggio. Elsewhere we find the title track's pointillist strings (arranged by the band's saxophonist Daniel Fordham), hypnotic vocal rituals on noise/improv detour 'Bodies Carried Off By Bees' (featuring Far Rainbow) and the Yo La Tengo-meet-Section 25 repetitions of 'An Endless', it's bright guitar arpeggios and billowing synths unfurling across ten minutes of glorious repetition. The album reaches it's end with the fittingly grandiose 'Paper Boats On Black Ink Lake'. The radio unfriendly (at nearly 20 minutes long) track drifts in on sleepwalk-slow guitars, recalling Earth at their most serene, while Kate Gibson and Melinda Bronstein's vocals float over a bed of strings that could be Robert Kirby scoring Low's Secret Name. The World Is A Bell is an album of dense and unhurried songs, rich in sonic detail and ambitious in scope, it's music simultaneously intimate and epic. Beautiful jewelry display

A few rough edges, but all in all well made and attractive. Holds lots of earrings and I can drape my necklaces on the tree. There's a nice bowl for bracelets and a nice tray that forms the base.

Gorgeous
Color: Bronze-Tone
It really is pretty to look at. To be honest arranging the earring on the tree is a bit of a pain, because the leaves tilt in different directions, and you have to play with it a bit to get the earrings to hang the way you would like them, but once you figure it out, they look very nice. I just adore it because it looks so pretty. I use the basket on the side for rings and watches, and the little plate in the base for a few miscellaneous pieces like necklaces or bracelets for balance and because they look nice. You'll love it.

gorgeous, and worth the purchase.

I wasn't sure about purchasing the jewelry stand at first (I had my doubts), but those doubts quickly disappeared upon the arrival/unpackaging of the jewelry stand.
SHIPPING/PACKAGING
It was nicely packaged, and not bent or damaged when I recieved it. The stand was a little wobbly (due to careless measuring of the copper balls, the fault of the manufacturer)
THE PRODUCT
The pictures are not how it is. Remember that. I thought the tree would be more three dimensional, you know- like a real tree. It wasn't, though. It was like someone took a 2D copper tree and made it stand up. It's still pretty, though, and holds a lot of jewelry.
PRICE-WISE
If you're looking at the price and it says $45 or more, don't buy it. I waited a month for the price to go down (I'm just a cheapskate) and it did. It went from $45 or so, down to $25 or so. So, unless its life or death, be patient and buy it when the price is right.
OVERALL?
In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.

Beautiful and sturdy

This piece is far superior than I expected. It is beautiful and sturdy. I don't have a lot of fancy jewelry. I just have several everyday pieces with a few unique pieces. This tree was perfect. It is attractive, like a unique piece of jewelry itself.
