The Omegon 150/750 EQ-3 Newtonian Reflector is an ideal telescope for beginners in astronomy. This telescope features good optics and a very stable mount.

The optics of the 150/750:

A 'fast' aperture ratio of f/5 means this a telescope has a lot of light gathering power, which improves the detail of objects being observed. The light gathering ability of the human eye is exceeded here by a factor of around 600. Globular clusters, such as M13 or M92, can be resolved right down to their centres. Many galaxies can be observed. Gaseous nebulae, such as the Orion nebula, show filaments and become magnificent summer and winter sky objects with this telescope.

Also, the planets reveal some of their secrets. For example, you can observe and follow the cloud bands of Jupiter which carry the Great Red Spot over the planet. The shadows cast by the larger moons of Jupiter are also visible with a 150mm aperture.

You can even start astrophotography and take your first photos - of the moon for example.

If you are looking for a fast, but nevertheless very compact telescope, then this size of telescope is exactly right.

    The EQ-3 mount:

This parallactic mount allows you to accurately aligning the optics to the Pole Star. The correct polar height and geographical latitude can be set for any observation location. The slow motion controls for the RA and DEC axes allow objects to be adjusted precisely, tracked and held in the field of view. A counterweight provides exact counterbalancing of the optics.
The EQ-3 mount provides a solid base for most small to medium size optics and is excellent for fascinating excursions through the night sky. Drive motors are available for automatically guiding the EQ-3 mount, which also allows any first attempts at astrophotography. The tripod is extendable, an accessory tray provides a place for eyepieces and other accessories.

This OTA is also available with an upgraded EQ4 mount here

    The mount comes with:

    • robust tripod
    • accessory tray
    • counterbalancing counterweight

Right to the point without a lot of wordy fluff!
    Format: Imitation Leather
I have tried a few other "daily devotional" books, but they were not what I was looking for in being "to the point" along with giving a couple scripture verses to get my day started. The day I received my copy, the devotion was about Salvation and two of the scriptures were from my two favorite chapters in the Bible. For me, that was a "God Moment"!

A Timeless Classic That Nourishes the Mind!
    Format: Board book
Where to even begin with Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"? This book has been a cornerstone of childhood for countless kids—and with good reason! First and foremost, the visual elements are stunning. Eric Carle’s unique collage technique brings the story to life in a way that instantly captures the attention of both young and older readers. His choice of bold, vibrant colors is just like eye-candy for the young ones. The tale itself is simple yet profound. A caterpillar eats its way through various foods, both healthy and not-so-healthy, growing bigger and ultimately transforming into a butterfly. On one level, it’s a delightful story about change and growth; on another, it subtly teaches children about the days of the week, counting, and nutrition. I appreciate how the book incorporates little "holes" in the pages to indicate where the caterpillar has munched through, adding a tactile element to the reading experience. My 5-year-old loves poking her fingers through the holes, making the story not just a visual but also a sensory delight! It’s also worth noting that the story is quick and to-the-point, making it perfect for bedtime or for little ones with shorter attention spans. But despite its brevity, it offers a wealth of topics to explore and discuss, from biology and metamorphosis to making healthier food choices. "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" isn't just a book; it's an interactive, educational experience that both children and adults can enjoy together. It is a tale that transcends time and remains as relevant today as it was when it was first published. If you haven't introduced your children to this story yet, you're missing out on a classic that’s as nourishing for the mind as it is a delight for the senses.

One of the best books for babies.
    Format: Board book
Great book for a one-year-old! Such a colorful, bright, book about a caterpillar that eats all sorts of things before turning into a butterfly. Terrific book for counting also.
