Medium format (5.5x7cm) rangefinder camera made to accept 70mm roll film. The olive colour very much indicates a military production and it was indeed made for the US Signal Corps. The camera was built by Graflex Inc. from 1954 to 1957, with the official label of KE-4 (1) Still Picture Camera, a designation similar to the Leica KE-7a, also made for the US military. The five pound body was made of cast magnesium and featured a rangefinder with a base length of 115mm. A unique feature was that the viewfinder would zoom to the field of view of the 205mm lens when it was attached. Shutter speeds ranged from T, B, X, 1 sec to 1/500 sec with a focal plane shutter. --- Quite rare outfit for display only in original olive metal case containing the camera with Ektar lens 2.8/102mm no.RM272 (cap), Ektar lens 4/205mm no.RM810 (cap, hood), matching flashgun - there are parts of the shutter mechanism missing. --- B --- c.1954 --- 477202 --- Mittelformatige (5,5x7cm) Messsucherkamera für 70mm Rollfilm. Die Kamera wurde von 1954 bis 1957 von Graflex Inc. gebaut und trug die offizielle Bezeichnung KE-4 (1) Still Picture Camera, eine ähnliche Bezeichnung wie die Leica KE-7a, die ebenfalls für das US-Militär hergestellt wurde. Das über 2kg schwere Gehäuse bestand aus gegossenem Magnesium und verfügte über einen Messsucher mit einer Basislänge von 115mm. Einzigartig war, dass sich der Sucher auf das Sichtfeld des 205-mm-Objektivs vergrößern ließ, wenn dieses aufgesetzt war. Die Verschlusszeiten reichten von T, B, X, 1 Sek. bis 1/500 Sek. mit Schlitzverschluss. --- Sehr seltenes Outfit im originalen olivgrünen Metallkoffer, der die Kamera mit Ektar-Objektiv 2.8/102mm Nr. RM272 (Deckel), Ektar-Objektiv 4/205mm Nr. RM810 (Deckel, Gegenlichtblende), passendes Blitzgerät enthält - es fehlen Teile des Verschlussmechanismus.
