Weighing just 1,270g and measuring 227mm in length, this lens is exceptionally portable. It is designed for handheld shooting, allowing photographers to work quickly in the field without the need for heavy support equipment. Its compact form makes it perfect for expeditions and travel.
Exceptional Image Quality
Advanced optics include 3 Super ED, 3 HR and 1 E-HR element, reducing chromatic aberrations, distortion and colour fringing. OM System’s Z Coating Nano technology minimises flare and ghosting, ensuring sharp, high-contrast, true-to-life images even in challenging lighting conditions.
Powerful Image Stabilisation
Built-in optical stabilisation works in sync with compatible OM-D 5-axis in-body stabilisation systems, delivering up to 6 stops of compensation. This allows for consistently sharp handheld images and smoother video capture, even at extreme telephoto reach.
Fast, Silent Autofocus & Control
The MSC autofocus system provides fast, accurate and near-silent focusing, ideal for both stills and video. A Manual Focus Clutch enables instant switching between AF and MF, while a focus limiter and programmable L-Fn button offer enhanced shooting control.
Versatility & Close Focusing
With a minimum focusing distance of 1.4m and 0.48x magnification (35mm equivalent), the lens also excels at tele-macro work. It is compatible with the MC-14 1.4x teleconverter for extended reach up to 840mm equivalent.
Built for the Outdoors
Weather-sealed construction with 17 protective seals ensures dust, splash and freeze resistance. A removable tripod collar, retractable hood and included DR-79 decoration ring enhance usability and handling in the field.
