2023 Block 18 Mudgee Gewurztraminer"La Belle Soeur" Handpicked and whole bunch pressed straight into older French oak. This wine exhibits classic Gewurztraminer characteristics of rose petal, Turkish delight and spiced ginger on the nose, with these fruit flavours and the acidity balanced by some lovely texture from the barrel ferment. Perfect with any sort of spicy food, I love it with natural oysters with chilli and lime. The name means "beautiful sister" in French, and is what the

My sister-in-law Debbie (herself a well-regarded winemaker) helped me to find these grapes in Mudgee when I realised I would have no Chardonnay from the 2023 vintage.
Only 1273 bottles were made.
