How to install APC NetShelter SX, Server Rack Enclosure

Installing the APC NetShelter SX is a process designed to maximize safety and efficiency from the loading dock to a ready-to-operate rack. Begin by confirming the installation space can accommodate the 2124 mm height and the 1200 mm depth, and verify that flooring can support the combined weight of the empty enclosure plus loaded equipment. With safety as a priority, use appropriate lifting equipment and follow site protocols for handling heavy objects. The NetShelter SX is shipped with a shock-absorbing pallet and unloading ramp to help manage the transition from transport to the data center floor.

  • Plan and inspect: Before unboxing, review the carton contents and verify packaging integrity. Inspect the ramp, pallet, and enclosure for any signs of damage in transit. Confirm that the intended location aligns with service access, cable routes, and ventilation considerations.
  • Position and prepare the site: Move the packaging to the installation area near the final rack location. Use the unloading ramp to guide the enclosure safely into position. Ensure the floor is level and capable of bearing the load, and clear obstructions from the installation path.
  • Unpack and prepare the cabinet: Open the shell, remove protective packaging, and inspect the enclosure for any shipping-related damage. Confirm that the doors, hinges, and latching mechanisms operate smoothly and that any keys or locks are accounted for if security is required.
  • Mounting and assembly: If rails and mounting hardware are included, install the rack rails per the manufacturer’s guidelines, ensuring proper alignment for your equipment. Securely fasten rails to the cabinet frame in accordance with the intended equipment height (45U) and weight distribution. Attach any side panels or accessories as specified to maintain rigidity.
  • Install equipment and finalize: Begin mounting servers, storage devices, and networking gear, starting with the heaviest components at the bottom to maintain center-of-gravity stability. Manage cable routing with orderly paths, secure cable ties, and plan for airflow and cooling paths. Close doors, verify security latches, and perform a functional check to ensure all devices are recognized and powered correctly.

For ongoing operations, establish a routine for equipment maintenance and periodic inspections of the enclosure’s seals and hardware. The NetShelter SX is designed to support efficient cabling management, streamlined heat dissipation, and modular scalability, enabling IT teams to adapt quickly as data center needs evolve. By adhering to recommended installation practices and safety standards, organizations can maximize uptime and safeguard critical assets throughout the lifecycle of the enclosure.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
