Ten years, a hundred releases, and countless outstanding tracks: Monkeytown Records is celebrating it's tenth anniversary with a compilation of new and exclusive productions by the artists that shaped the label in the past and will do so in the future. These artists represent electronic music in all it's shades, from more experimental to dancefloor focused approaches. Monkeytown has always tried to combine both spheres simultaneously, never neglecting fun nor freethinking. The 12 tracks from the likes of Shed, Mouse on Mars, FJAAK, Redshape, Anstam, and many more showcase and celebrate the label's continuing mission: to explore new sounds and to seek out new bangers. Monkeytown was launched in 2009 by Modeselektor. Originally conceived as a means to release music by friends and Modeselektor's own records, it soon developed into much more. The label and it's offshoot 50Weapons became key players in connecting the various strains of dance and bass music, the scenes of Berlin, London, and everyone affiliated to these. This compilation unites artist that stick with the label since the very beginning, like Siriusmo or Anstam, and newer family members like Catnapp or FJAAK. Over the years, some renowned producers found their way to Monkeytown, among them Shed and Redshape. These two of course provide the techno and house part of this collection, while Gajek's kraut-influenced electroacoustic piece or Alex Banks's blissful opening ambience show that it's not necessarily all about beats. There are a lot of beats though: Dark Sky and Robot Koch like them rolling and sweetly broken, Mouse on Mars smartly frenzied, and Modeselektor themselves contribute a multidimensional track in honor of the famous Roland Space Echo, the device which lent them their name. There's also a world premiere inhouse collaboration by Otto von Schirach and Catnapp, a weirdo match made in heaven. Next to releasing great records, the best thing a record label can achieve is to have a sound of it's own. Monkeytown has long become a household name for everyone who loves electronic music. It has no sound insulation function at all

I purchased this soundproof partition with the expectation of creating an independent and quiet office environment. However, the product does not deliver effective sound insulation. The ambient conversation noise outside the partition measures 50 decibels, and the noise level inside remains unchanged at 50 decibels. Given this lack of performance, I would like to inquire about the actual acoustic value of this partition. This constitutes a clear case of misleading advertising.

Partition Divider

The Natwind 5-panel portable partition is ideal for creating privacy and dividing office space. At 122.8" x 71", it provides substantial amount of coverage, and the folding design makes it easy to set up, move, or store as needed. The freestanding structure is stable. The acoustic panels are quite thick at about 1/2in thick and help reduce noise. Its neutral color and design blends well with most office interiors. Overall, this partition is a convenient and effective choice for temporary or flexible workspace layouts.

Great quality, easy to set up.

I actually have this in my bedroom, replaced a non acoustic panel with it. These make a huge difference. As someone who is always playing music on their speakers I don't want to bother my roommates too much. Easily can hear the difference once these were in place. The panel itself is high quality and thick, what's a really nice detail is how they are attached together, there are multiple wedges just like foam noise dampeners which is super cool! This thing is easy to move around and can be folded for storage with ease. You get extra screws just in case you lose any, the feet are made out of metal which adds to the quality. There was a very slight chemical smell when taking it out the box, however that went away in just a few hours.
I can imagine using this in a noisy office, surrounding yourself with these in a cube shape will make all the difference to focus on your work. These panels are great and if you're looking for quality, I'd say you can pick these up without worry. No issues on my end!

This office divider is well made and easy to assemble. All you have to do is install the feet. The panels are only about an inch thick, but they work surprisingly well at muffling unwanted background noise.

Easily Create a Workspace

Such a great design. I am loving the versatility of these - very easy to set up and also to store. THe color is perfect for them to blend into the decor. While they don't cancel out the noise altogether, they reduce it and decrease distractions. No installation needed - has its own supports. Built really well with good materials - sleek and sturdy and solid. They have increased the privacy and have helped make a great space without difficult construction. Work well and they are great value for money - instant privacy and space.
