This screen features real projection screen material, not a sheet. WVS stands for "Woven Acoustic with Black Backing". The material is a white, woven 1.1 gain material that is designed for speakers to be placed behind it with no noticeable sound reduction or distortion.

The WVS is a high-end acoustically transparent material.  The WVS has a very fine weave which is compatible with much higher resolution projectors of the future.  The fine weave allows the viewing audience to sit much closer to the screen than other acoustic screen materials without seeing the weave.  The WVS is a whiter material which reflects true lifelike color.  The WVS offers superior acoustic audio transparency.
