Description

Death at Bishops Keep

Kate Adrleigh is everything the Victorian English gentlewoman is not - outspoken, free-thinking, American... and a writer of the frowned upon 'penny-dreadfuls.' Soon after her arrival in Essex, England, a body is unearthed in a nearby archaeological dig - and Kate has the chance to not only research her latest story... but to begin her first case with amateur detective Sir Charles Sheridan.

Death at Gallows Green

In Death at Bishop's Keep, Kathryn Ardleigh captured the interest of detective Sir Charles Sheridan as they solved their first case together. Now the demise of a local constable and the disappearance of a child have the sleuthing couple on the trail of deadly greed and criminal mischief once again. And with the help of a shy woman who calls herself Beatrix Potter, Kate intends to uncover the sinister secrets of Gallows Green..

Death at Daisys Folly

Kate and Sir Charles gather with a host of memorable guests at the Warwicks' Eaton Lodge for an English country-house weekend. Meet Albert Edward, Prince of Wales; his 'darling Daisy,' the Countess of Warwick; their friends-and their enemies. Someone has murdered a stableboy and the Prince, smarting over a recent gambling expos and seeking to avoid scandal, directs Sir Charles to find the killer. But the stakes go up when a guest is shot with the Countess's gun.

Death at Glamis Castle

Charles and Kate are summoned to Scotland on a mysterious errand for the Crown. They will be staying at Glamis Castle, a place haunted by shadows and dark secrets. They learn that Prince Eddy, who had been heir to the throne until his supposed death in 1892, is still alive, ten years later. Only now the prince has gone missing--on the very morning that the body of one of his servants was found, her throat slashed. Now, Charles and his clever Kate must find Eddy and clear him from suspicion of murder, while keeping his true identity a secret.

Death in Hyde Park

Queen Victoria is dead, long live King Edward! Kate and Charles Sheridan are attending the new king's coronation ceremony when an anarchist blows himself up in Hyde Park with a bomb that was obviously meant for the Royals. Now, it's up to Kate and Charles to discover who is threatening the crown, and how a brash and arrogant American author named Jack London is involved. Who are the terrorists and what dangers do they really pose? Are the anti-terrorists even more dangerous? Join Kate and Charles as they are dragged into the real world of turn-of-the-century terrorism.

Death at Blenheim Palace

The marriage between the Duke of Marlborough and 17-year-old Consuelo Vanderbilt, the American railroad heiress, was the talk of two nations when it occurred in 1895. By 1903, the Duchess had produced the requisite heir-and-a-spare, and the Duke had taken a lover, the exotic, erotic Gladys Deacon. Kate and Charles are introduced to this uncomfortable menage a trois when they come to Blenheim Palace: Kate to work on a book about King Henry II and Fair Rosamund, and Charles to follow the trail of a team of jewelry thieves. Complex, richly detailed, full of surprises.

Death at the Lizard

Lizard Village, 1903. Cornwall is rich with natural wonders, but these natural beauties conceal dangerous secrets, as amateur detectives Lord and Lady Sheridan discover. Wireless telegraph companies around the world are scrambling to develop new communications technology. But an Italian named Guglielmo Marconi beats them to it. His feat has bruised some egos, but no one expects sabotage, much less murder. After two apparently accidental deaths at the Marconi wireless transmission station, Lord Sheridan and his wife Kate investigate.

Death at the Devil's Bridge

Newlyweds Charles and Kate Sheridan have moved into Kate's ancestral Georgian home Bishop's Keep, where Kate plans to devote herself to her writing and Charles to the responsibilities of the landed gentry. He agrees to host an automobile exhibition and balloon race attended by Europe's foremost investors and inventors, among them the young Mr. Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. But speed, competition, and money prove to be more explosive than gasoline-and for one automobile builder, more deadly....

Death at Rottingdean

Lord and Lady Sheridan (Charles is now Baron of Somersworth) have taken a house for a few quiet weeks in the late summer of 1897, in the sea-coast village of Rottingdean. Long known as Smugglers' Village, the hamlet sits on a labyrinth of ancient tunnels. When the body of a coast guard is pulled out of the Channel, Kate and Charles suspect that the town is still plying the illicit trades of its past. With the help of Rudyard Kipling (who is just beginning his novel Kim), they discover that something is rotten in Rottingdean...

Death at Whitechapel

Kathryn Ardleigh is becoming accustomed to the high-society circles of her husband, Lord Charles Sheridan. She has found a kindred spirit in Jennie Jerome Churchill, an American who married the second son of the Duke of Marlborough. But Jennie faces a serious scandal that threatens the political future of her 23-year-old son Winston. She is being blackmailed by someone who claims to have proof that Winston's father was the notorious Jack the Ripper...

Excellent product at a very good price. I will buy it again.
This is an excellent product at a fair price. The cream creates a barrier that protects the skin, while mosturizes it. leaves hands very soft, and it doesn't feel greasy. I know that this is a favorite brand (Avene) in France, and Amazon offers it at a very good price. I will buy it again, from Amazon. I bought it this year in Paris, and it was more expensive there.

Drying formula and smell bad
Smell so bad and made my hands dry instead of moisturizing. The formula is watery. Maybe it’s fake or expired I am not sure.

Great For Dog Park Fun -- The Ball Goes Flying
Size: 25in, Style: Sport
I love this thing. It's super well made and It enables me to chuck a ball the entire length of the dog park (I'm a 65 yr old woman with a wimpy arm). My dog is thrilled too. At first I thought it might be too heavy, but that's just not an issue, the weight is fine. For non-throwers like me someone at the dog park gave me a tip --- just look at the area you want to throw the ball. Helped my aim immensely. The 2.5 inch chuck it ball it comes with is my dog's absolute *favorite* . . . it's her security blanket in the kennel while driving, and it's her favorite ball to chase (the only one she'll actually bring back). She loves to chew it and to squish the air out of it, which takes a little effort. Recommend.

Great tool!
Size: 18in, Style: Sport
Ok - so I do not have a dog!!! I purchased this item for a completely different purpose! I saw someone using this to gather eggs!! I often go to my daughter and son-in-law's homestead to carry out the chores when they need to be out of town! Well, I am a bit on the short side (4'11") and some of the hens KNOW that a short person is going to be gathering eggs!!! I simply could not reach all of the eggs in a couple of the nesting boxes! So, after seeing someone else use this ball launcher as an egg retriever, I bought one! I am now able to reach ALL of the eggs - one at a time with no breakage! It was a game changer for me. I am sure that it works equally well for dog play!!!
