The SVT-3PRO from Ampeg is a 450W tube amplifier head designed for electric bass that features Ampeg's proprietary Ultra Hi/Lo selectors and multiple frequency possibilities via the three-band EQ. Further expanding the EQ's usability, a frequency-selector knob gives you five choices for midrange manipulation, while a 9-band graphic EQ allows you to sculpt your tone even further. A tube-driven preamp and solid-state power section bring classic Ampeg tone to the unit, and should you wish to implement it, a tube-gain knob will enliven your signal even more. Sneak a peek at the back of the amplifier and you'll see a variety of options for connectivity: two 1/4" outputs, one Neutrik speakON output, and a balanced XLR out complete with ground lift and pre/post EQ switch. You'll also notice the ability to feed effects processors via the effects loop, as well as the 1/4" power amp in and preamp out option, providing you interesting opportunities to pair the unit with other amplifiers. A dedicated 1/4" tuner output is also available, as is a -15 dB pad on the amplifier's input section.
