Perhaps the most iconic home run for Boston, and one of the most iconic plays in baseball, was Carlton Fisk waving in his game-winning home run in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series. In a game that stretched to 12 innings, Carlton Fisk finally prevailed at 12:34am to send the series to 7. Fisk took the 2nd pitch of of pitcher Pat Darcy off the left field foul pole for the walk-off home run.

Helped by a 24 home game win streak, one of the longest in MLB history, Boston surged from 9 gb to leading the division by 4.5 games only 60 days after Morgan's hiring.
