The Platinum Tools 3" Standard High Performance (HPH) J-Hook is a premium cable management solution engineered for reliability, durability, and effortless installation in demanding environments. Built around a steel J-hook core and over-molded with tough polypropylene, these hooks deliver a smooth, snag-free cable slide that protects delicate cabling from abrasion while guiding bundles neatly along racks, panels, and walls. The 3-inch length provides ample spacing to accommodate diverse cable configurations—from data and power runs to voice and fiber bundles—without crowding, while the 2-inch-wide base delivers unwavering stability even with heavy, multi-cable loads. With the Snap-Lock Retainer, these J-Hooks secure cables quickly and repeatedly, reducing the need for zip ties or Velcro and streamlining ongoing maintenance in data centers, server rooms, and commercial installations. Each box contains 25 pieces, offering a cost-effective solution for large-scale deployments and ongoing cable management needs.

  • Durable steel core with polypropylene over-mold: The steel J-hook provides structural strength to support long runs, while the over-molded polypropylene offers a smooth surface that minimizes cable snagging and abrasion during insertion and removal. This combination captures the benefits of metal rigidity and plastic protection, delivering a resilient solution that resists wear over years of use in busy IT cabinets and telecom closets.
  • Snap-Lock Retainer for quick, reusable cable securing: The intuitive Snap-Lock design lets installers lock cables in place with a simple press, then release and reposition as your cabling evolves. This eliminates the recurring need for cable ties, Velcro straps, or other fasteners, promoting cleaner installations and easier rework during reconfigurations or upgrades.
  • 2" wide base for stable, heavy-bundle support: The generous base width distributes weight and tension across a larger surface area, reducing the risk of hook tilt or pull-out when managing dense cable bundles. This is especially valuable in dense network closets, audio-visual rooms, or industrial environments where bundles may grow over time.
  • 3" length with versatile mounting options: The standard 3-inch form factor is ideal for routing across racks, enclosures, or wall surfaces, providing ample clearance for power, data, and fiber as well as room for expansion. The Size 48 designation helps ensure compatibility with Platinum Tools’ broader J-Hook family and makes it easy to standardize components across multiple installs.
  • Value-packed 25-per-box configuration: For installers managing multiple rooms or large-scale builds, a 25-count box represents a practical balance of inventory and cost. This packaging supports quick stocking of field kits and ensures consistency across projects, while reducing the administration overhead of ordering singles or smaller packs.

how to install Platinum Tools 3" Standard HPH J-Hook

To install the Platinum Tools 3" Standard HPH J-Hook, begin by planning your cable routes and determining the best mounting points on racks, panels, or walls. Prepare the surface by clearing debris and choosing appropriate mounting hardware based on the surface material (wood, metal, or concrete). Align the J-Hook so that the 2" base rests flush against the mounting surface, ensuring the hook portion points toward the direction of cable flow. Thread your cables into the J-Hook, keeping the bundle neat and within the bend radius recommendations for your cabling to prevent strain. Engage the Snap-Lock Retainer by pressing it firmly to secure the cables in place; if you need to reposition later, release and re-seat the retainer without cutting or removing the base. Ensure the entire bundle remains balanced and does not create unnecessary stress on individual cables. If additional stability is required, you can install multiple J-Hooks along the route to distribute the load evenly. Note that mounting hardware is not included with the package, so select screws or anchors that are compatible with your mounting surface, whether it's a rack rail, wall stud, or panel. Finally, test by gently tugging on the cables to confirm the Snap-Lock retains the bundle under expected handling or vibration conditions. This straightforward process yields a clean, scalable cabling system that supports future growth without compromising organization or accessibility.

It benefits the high-level language programmers - Listing formatting good now
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Even if not writing assembly code directly, it benefits the high-level language programmer to understand the CPU architecture and instruction set. You can help the compiler do a better job by writing your code with the hardware in mind. When it comes to debugging, it can be helpful to look at things at the assembly level. And if you are programming with SIMD intrinsics, you are still programming in assembly language and understanding the architecture is necessary. This book gets you up to speed with all the above and more. Also, the listing formatting problem that others have mentioned seems to have been fixed. I deleted the months old download from my device, downloaded again, and the listing were now good. Tested on an iPad, a Kindle Paperwhite, and a MacBook Pro.

Bible on x64 Assembler, but not for coding beginners.
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
The best way to review this book is in two parts, 1st a review of the book, 2nd to address the negative reviews about the readability of the code in the Kindle edition which is the one I have. I have several books on Assembly Language, starting with the long out of print 1986 “Peter Norton’s Assembly Language Book for the IBM PC.” Over the years I have acquired several books on Assembly Language. I find Randall Hyde’s book to be hands down the best reference and most in depth book on x86/x64 Assembly language. What I feel separates Hyde’s book from others is it goes into detail on each register and machine function. Which is then backed up with numerous illustrations to help explain the concepts, code, and quizzes to test your understanding. This is not a book for coding beginners on x86/x64 Assembly, IMO, as the author jumps right in with examples that I feel are too complex and too verbose for the novice. To help fill in the gaps alongside this book, I recommend using Mike McGrath’s, “Assembly x64 Programming in easy steps”, which guide the novice with colorful illustrations step by step, on the processor, number systems, linking, and building basic Assembly programs, in byte sized chunks, that are easy to understand for the novice. Also, a basic knowledge of C++ will be needed to use this book, as several example C++ programs make Assembly calls from within the program. Again, I recommend Mike McGrath’s “C++ Programming in easy steps.” For a basic review if you lack C++ knowledge. You’ll need the free IDE Visual Studio 2022 Community edition (not VS Code) with the C++ libraries, as that is where the MASM is located. As for the readability of the code in the Kindle version, there is a workaround which is better than reading the code from the book. A link is provided to download all the code listed in the book in a zip file. Most of the code is organized by listing number from the book. Once VS2022 is on your computer, double-click on the download file you’re interested in and the code will open properly formatted in VS2022 as shown in the attached images. You will be able to interact with the code, which is more productive than just reading from the book. This is an excellent book on x86/x64 Assembly language, looking forward to volume 2. After reading this book, the only way to get further in depth knowledge of the x86 processor IMO is from Intel's massive 4 volume reference.

Good reference manual for64 Bit Assembly Programming. Not an Introductory text.
Format: Paperback
I initially bought Assembly x64 in easy steps: Modern coding for MASM, SSE & AVX which is an excellent introduction to 64 Bit Assembly. This book however IS NOT an Introductory book - it is more a Reference to X64 Assembly. If you are new to Assembly Programming I suggest buying the introductory book and if you are serious about Assembly Programming then buy this book.

Parenting philosophy for all ages and stages
Format: Hardcover
Good Inside is the book I find myself referencing more than any other parenting book - well any book for that matter. I'm sure I annoy my friends! I annoy myself with my constant Dr. Becky this, and Dr. Becky that, but the truth is, I want more for my child. And in seeking out ways to understand him better, approach him better, be there for him better, Dr. Becky Kennedy allowed me to look at my own inner child and want better for her too. Good Inside helped me identify sources of my own pain, start healing, and empower me with tools to approach my child's struggles with more compassion, understanding, and confidence. This book sits perfectly between the scientific approach of Whole Brain Child and the spiritual views of The Enlightened Parent. You're gonna get a dose of warm fuzziness with a whole lot of practical and psychological gold! And as I hinted at before, this is for kids of all ages. You're not just getting a book aimed at how to survive the 2yo stage. You're getting a perspective that embeds itself into every relationship you have. Yes; it has been enormously useful with my toddler, but it has also helped my marriage. So, let me annoy you too. Becky Becky Becky!
