The GeoVision GV-POE1601 combines robust PoE capabilities with a compact, rack-mountable design to deliver reliable power and data across a 16-port network. Engineered for small to medium-sized deployments, this 16-port 10/100BaseTX switch provides PoE+ on every port, enabling seamless deployment of IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and other powered devices without the need for separate power injectors. With a 2-port Gigabit Copper/SFP combo uplink, administrators gain flexible connectivity to core networks, servers, and storage, while a web-based management interface offers intuitive control, monitoring, and configuration. This Web Smart PoE switch is designed to simplify installation, reduce cable clutter, and improve network efficiency in security, hospitality, education, and enterprise environments. By adhering to IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards, it ensures safe, standards-compliant power delivery and reduces overall energy consumption through centralized control and intelligent power budgeting. The GV-POE1601 stands out for its balance of performance, scalability, and ease of use, making it a smart choice for networks that demand dependable PoE power and straightforward management.

  • 16 x 10/100BaseTX RJ-45 ports with PoE+ capability, delivering up to 30 W per port and a total system power budget up to 250 W. This means you can power high-demand devices like advanced IP cameras and high-end VoIP phones directly from the switch, minimizing clutter and eliminating the need for separate power lines for each device.
  • 2-port Gigabit Copper/SFP Combo uplink provides flexible connection options. You can connect via copper RJ-45 for quick, straightforward deployments or insert an SFP module for fiber uplinks, enabling longer reach, reduced electromagnetic interference, and enhanced network segmentation in your edge or campus networks.
  • IEEE 802.3at PoE+ compliance ensures safe, standardized power delivery to PoE devices. The switch intelligently negotiates power with connected devices, supports remote powering of compatible devices, and simplifies installation by consolidating data and power over a single Ethernet cable.
  • Web Smart management offers a user-friendly interface for real-time monitoring, simple configuration, and straightforward troubleshooting. Features typically include port status, PoE power monitoring, VLAN-friendly segmentation, and other essential management tools designed to keep networks running smoothly with minimal operational overhead.
  • Rack-mountable, compact enclosure designed for professional installations. The GV-POE1601 fits neatly into standard 19-inch racks, delivering a neat, scalable solution for network edges, security deployments, and SMB environments where space is at a premium and centralized power management is desirable.

how to install GeoVision 16-Port 802.3at Web Management PoE Switch

To ensure a smooth installation that delivers optimal performance, follow these practical steps. Plan your rack layout to maximize airflow and minimize cable tension. Place the GV-POE1601 in a well-ventilated area within reach of a reliable power source and your network core. Use the two uplink ports to connect to your core switch or router, selecting copper RJ-45 or SFP based on your fiber strategy. Connect PoE-enabled devices, such as IP cameras or VoIP phones, to the 16 PoE+ ports, ensuring that each device is within the per-port power budget and that the total load does not exceed the 250 W system limit. After physical connections are established, power on the switch and access the web-based management interface from a PC on the same LAN. Configure basic settings like IP address, gateway, and VLANs if needed, then enable PoE settings and monitor power usage to ensure devices receive adequate power. Save the configuration and perform a quick device health check by verifying link status, port activity, and PoE power consumption. Finally, document your network topology and PoE budget for future maintenance and scalability.

  • Unpack and mount: Remove packaging, mount the GV-POE1601 in a standard 19-inch rack, and secure it with screws for stability and ventilation.
  • Connect uplink: Use a copper RJ-45 or SFP module to connect the two Gigabit uplink ports to your core switch or router, establishing a fast and reliable backbone connection.
  • Powering devices: Plug PoE-enabled devices into the 16 RJ-45 ports. Verify each device negotiates power correctly and monitor PoE status via the management interface.
  • Access management: Connect a PC to the switch network, access the web management interface, and complete initial configuration such as IP addressing and basic security settings.
  • Test and document: Conduct a practical test of data transmission and PoE delivery, then document device addresses, power distribution, and future expansion plans for easy maintenance.

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.
