Its optimized for long range links and uplinks, enabling seamless integration with a wide range of SFP enabled switches and routers.

The TP-Link SFP Module is engineered to elevate data networking and optical networks with a reliable, hot-pluggable single-mode transceiver. Designed for enterprise, data center, and service-provider backbones, this module delivers durable performance, minimal signal loss, and fast data transfers over greater distances. It’s optimized for long-range links and uplinks, enabling seamless integration with a wide range of SFP-enabled switches and routers. With a compact form factor and hot-swappable design, it minimizes downtime during maintenance or upgrades while ensuring compatibility across diverse network ecosystems. If you’re scaling bandwidth, extending reach, or consolidating your fiber infrastructure, this SFP module is built to deliver consistent, high-quality performance in demanding environments.

  • Reliability and ease of use: The TP-Link SFP Module is designed for hot-pluggable operation, allowing you to insert or remove the transceiver without powering down compatible devices. This means reduced downtime during maintenance, simpler upgrades, and uninterrupted network service. Its universal SFP form factor ensures straightforward integration with a wide range of switches, routers, and optical networking gear, making it a versatile choice for mixed-vendor environments. The module is built to maintain stable link integrity across long-haul Ethernet and fiber networks, helping IT teams meet service level agreements with confidence.
  • Long-distance single-mode performance: Built for single-mode fiber, this transceiver supports high-quality, long-range transmissions. Single-mode fiber minimizes attenuation over distance, enabling uplinks and backbone connections that span tens of kilometers or more when paired with appropriate cores and amplifiers. By prioritizing low insertion loss and robust signal integrity, the module helps you achieve reliable data transfers at bandwidth-intensive speeds, supporting mission-critical applications, data replication, and real-time analytics without compromising performance.
  • Interoperability and easy integration: The module is crafted to work seamlessly with a wide spectrum of SFP-enabled devices, from core switches to access-layer equipment. Its compatibility-conscious design ensures smooth plug-and-play deployment in enterprise networks, data centers, and campus backbones. This makes it an ideal upgrade path for expanding capacity, upgrading uplinks, or replacing aging transceivers, without the need for major changes to existing infrastructure. Network administrators can deploy with confidence, knowing the module supports standard optical networking practices while maximizing throughput potential.
  • Durable construction and reliability in demanding environments: Encased in a rugged, compact housing, the TP-Link SFP Module is built to withstand typical data center and enterprise facility conditions. The hot-pluggable design minimizes downtime, while its stable optical performance helps maintain consistent link quality under varying thermal and environmental conditions. This translates to lower maintenance overhead, fewer link flaps, and more predictable network behavior—crucial factors for mission-critical applications, virtualization workloads, and high-availability deployments.
  • Versatile deployment and cost-effective scalability: Whether you’re upgrading an uplink, extending a backbone, or linking dispersed campuses, this SFP module provides a cost-effective path to higher bandwidths and greater reach. Its single-mode capability makes it well-suited for long-haul connections, metro networks, and data center interconnections, enabling more efficient use of existing fiber infrastructure. By offering reliable performance in a compact package, it helps you maximize return on investment while ensuring compatibility with current and future network architectures.

Technical Details of tp--link-sfp-module

  • Form factor: SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) transceiver
  • Fiber type: Single-mode optical fiber
  • Application: Data networking and optical networks
  • Connectivity: Hot-pluggable for minimal downtime
  • Performance characteristics: Supports long-distance, high-bandwidth transmissions with low signal loss and reliable link quality

How to Install tp--link-sfp-module

  • Power down the host device only if your network policy requires it; in many cases, the SFP module is hot-swappable and can be inserted without powering down the equipment. Handle the module with care to avoid static discharge.
  • Align the module with the SFP slot on your switch, router, or optical networking gear. Insert gently until it seats with a decisive click, and ensure the module is fully seated in the slot.
  • Connect the single-mode fiber optic cable to the module’s appropriate connector (typically LC duplex). Ensure the fiber is clean, termini are intact, and the cables are correctly routed to minimize bending or tension.
  • Power up the device (if you powered down). The link LEDs on the device should indicate the module is recognized and the fiber link is established. If your device requires configuration, set the port to the appropriate speed and mode to enable the SFP’s full capabilities.
  • Run standard network tests to verify bandwidth, latency, and signal integrity. Monitor for any errors or dropped frames, and adjust settings or cabling as needed to optimize performance.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is the TP-Link SFP Module hot-pluggable? Yes. The module is designed for hot-pluggable operation in compatible devices, enabling quick upgrades or replacements without powering down the system.
  • What type of fiber does it use? It is designed for single-mode optical fiber, optimized for long-distance transmissions with lower attenuation than multi-mode options.
  • Which devices are compatible? This SFP module is intended for use with SFP-enabled switches, routers, and optical networking equipment. Check your device’s compatibility and firmware requirements to ensure seamless operation.
  • What kind of fiber connections should I use? Use single-mode fiber cables terminated for the appropriate connectors (commonly LC duplex) as specified by your equipment. Ensure proper splicing or connectorization to maintain signal integrity.
  • What performance should I expect? You should expect reliable, high-bandwidth uplinks with minimal signal loss over longer distances, suitable for data centers, campus networks, and backbone links. Performance will vary with fiber quality, connector cleanliness, and device configuration.

Too expensive, tastes fine
I was worried based on reviews, but I think these taste fine! I don't eat a lot of candy anyway, but sometimes I just need 1-2 pieces to satisfy a sweet/sour craving. These are great since I'm on the Keto diet. They aren't overly sour for sure, but they still have some sourness to them. There's a bit of an aftertaste since they are made with sugar substitutes, but nothing terrible. My only complaint is the price. Way too expensive for the amount you get.

Not bad
The cherry tastes too much like cherry cough syrup. The grape fruit and apple aren't bad. For a no sugar candy for diabetics when you're having a craving, not bad.

I Wouldn’t Call Them Sour
Did I enjoy this candy? Absolutely. Did it meet my expectations? No. I have anxiety. I’ve heard about the technique of using a sour candy to distract from an anxiety attack. Well, I also have insulin resistance so I have been looking for a sugar-free sour candy which it turns out is a tall order. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I tasted these because they really don’t taste sour. While I enjoy the flavors (especially grapefruit) they aren’t sour. A big bummer. I do think the nutrition for this candy is awesome, though. They have a good amount of fiber and are made with xylitol which is great for oral health. Overall, I think they are pricey and not necessarily worth the cost considering they are not anything special outside of the nutritional values. Bummer!
