Husqvarna Brushcutters:

As far as Brushcutters go, the Husqvarna 545RXT is up there with the best. Suitable for professionals working in landscaping, forestry, and general gardening, the strimmer comes with a host of performance, ergonomics and durability features. Such features include X-Torq, LowVib, and Smart Start Husqvarna technology, allowing for a higher level of performance, comfort, and ease of start-up. The 545RXT also comes supplied with a top-quality Balance XT ergonomic harness, making operation far more comfortable with less stress on the back over longer periods. When buying a new Husqvarna brushcutter, it is natural and obvious that the amount of performance you will get from the machine is of maximum importance - up there with ergonomics, maybe even more important. The 545RXT is built with a powerful and robust Husqvarna 45.7cc E-TECH engine, not just that though, it also utilises an X-Torq design which can increase power generated by the engine and also help to reduce exhaust emissions by up to 75% plus a reduction of fuel consumption by up to 20%. Utilising this power is a 35-degree grass bevel gear, which can produce high torque, and while running in parallel to the ground, performance is increased further. Ergonomics, which we have already stated, come very close to performance when it comes to the creation of a high-grade brushcutter; they come in abundance on the Husqvarna 545RXT.

Let us start with LowVIb technology – how is technology related to anything ergonomic, we hear you say – well, LowVIb utilises specially placed anti-vibration dampeners which help reduce engine vibration on the body of the brushcutter. Less vibration means less stress and tension being applied to the users' hands and arms during long working periods. A less technological but equally important aspect when buying a Husqvarna 545RXT brushcutter is what harness it comes with. The answer is a Balance XT ergonomic harness built with shoulder straps, broad back support, shoulder straps and a hip belt. The Balance XT distributes the user's working load over a larger area, and paired with an adjustable backplate, means an ultra-comfortable working position throughout. Other ergonomic features of the 545RXT brushcutter are soft-grip handles, an adjustable and angled handlebar and a high offset post to increase freedom of movement for users working on slopes. Engine start-up has long been a bit of a chore when it comes to using almost any cord-start, petrol garden machinery. Smart Start, fuel pump and an auto return stop switch mean that starting your brushcutter is now much easier and indeed quicker. Smart Start reduces resistance in the starter cord by up to 40% meaning less pulling is required when starting the brushcutter. The fuel pump is also handy as it removes air from the fuel system and carburettor, which otherwise causes issues when starting petrol engines. The fuel tank on the 545RXT is transparent, which means you can keep better track of when you need to refuel. An optimised centre of gravity and shaft length improve balance from a better-placed fuel tank in the front end of the engine. Shaft length is extended and can help by allowing a wider birth when grass clearing. The trimmer head is also an important aspect of a brushcutter, and the fact that the 545RXT comes with a Tap n' Go head and twin line cutting system, which is capable of adjustment via a simple tap of the head on the ground. The head can also be easily changed too, as sometimes, a metal saw or grass blade may do a better job, on dense areas such as bramble bushes, woody growths and thistles, than the cable.

A Vision of Pastoring That is Rare but Inspiring
Format: Kindle
No one has been more helpful to me from afar in church planting and pastoring than Eugene Peterson. His vision of pastoring is inspiring but increasingly rare in the church growth landscape of the Evangelical industrial complex. “The pastors of America have metamorphosed into a company of shopkeepers, and the shops they keep are churches. They are preoccupied with shopkeeper’s concerns—how to keep the customers happy, how to lure customers away from competitors down the street, how to package the goods so that the customers will lay out more money.” In this book, Peterson offers up an alternate view—a biblical view—of the work of the pastor: prayer, reading Scripture, and offering spiritual direction. This work is modest work—hard work—but it is the good work God has called us to.

Excellent
Format: Kindle
An excellent work on the essential shape of pastoral work. A very convicting and important read for those who work in ministry- prayer, scripture, and spiritual direction will never be demanded of us, but are non-negotiable in order to maintain our call.

A must read for any pastor or spiritual leader
Format: Paperback
This book is profoundly insightful and easy to read and understand. It is not heavily theological (and does not need to be). It is practical. I have purchased an additional copy to give my pastor for his birthday. If he has already read it, he can pass it on. EVERY pastor needs to read this and practice these tips, which many do not receive in seminary. THIS is the type of pastor I want and need (and my pastor does embody much of what Peterson describes). I think pastors should read this every year or two to reassess their progress toward keeping these goals always in mind and in practice as much as possible.

A still timely writing for all pastors
Format: Paperback
Although first published 25 years ago, Peterson addresses a matter that is still timely, the need for all pastors to commit themselves to prayer, reading scripture and spiritual direction. These, Peterson asserts, are an essential foundation for all other aspects of ministry. Peterson's premise, that many pastors have abdicated their primary calling to these three practices, is still very relavent to the current state of pastoral ministry. Its content will be useful for new and veteran pastors alike.

Transformative if you are willing.
Format: Kindle
The triangle of pastoral ministry - Scripture - Prayer - Spiritual Direction is reckoned as sever lack in our pastoral lives. Peterson is a needed sage in the realm of modern evangelicalism.
