The bulk of the protection comes from the CE certified D3O impact-absorbing inserts, malleable enough to move with the body, but durable enough to protect your arms and elbows from the inevitable wipeouts. The Cordura fabric on the outside of the arm resists abrasions and snags while the mesh material on the inside of the arm provides breathable, moisture-wicking comfort. The slip-on design comes on easily but still stays securely in place when you are rattling down a descent. The D3O inserts are removable for when you need to wash the material.
