The Allied Telesis AT-X930-28GTX is a high-performance, stackable Gigabit Layer 3 switch designed for distribution and network core deployments. As part of the robust x930 Series, this switch blends resiliency, reliability, and advanced routing with feature-rich management to support growing enterprise networks. Engineered for versatile environments—from data centers to campus wiring closets—the AT-X930-28GTX delivers fast, deterministic performance, scalable growth, and simplified administration, all in a compact, energy-efficient form factor. Whether you’re building a new network or upgrading an aging core, this switch provides the intelligent traffic control, security, and availability you need to keep critical applications running smoothly.

  • Layer 3 routing and intelligent switching: The AT-X930-28GTX consolidates high-performance IPv4 and IPv6 routing with robust Layer 2 switching, enabling efficient inter-VLAN routing, static and dynamic routing protocols, and advanced traffic shaping to ensure fast, predictable application performance across the network.
  • Advanced security and policy controls: Protect your network with ACLs, port security, IGMP/MLD snooping, storm control, and authentication options that help prevent unauthorized access while preserving legitimate traffic. Centralized policy enforcement simplifies governance and compliance across the LAN.
  • High availability and resilience: Stackable design, potential for redundant power, and fast failover capabilities minimize downtime. The switch is built to maintain service continuity in demanding enterprise environments, even during maintenance or failover scenarios.
  • Scalability and flexible uplinks: With a dense port count plus flexible uplink options, the AT-X930-28GTX scales to meet expanding workloads. It supports uplink interfaces and stacking with other x930 devices to grow capacity without disruption to running services.
  • Comprehensive management and monitoring: Intuitive web-based GUI, robust CLI, SNMP support, and provisioning tools let network administrators quickly configure, monitor, and troubleshoot the switch, reducing on-site visits and accelerating deployment.

How to install Allied Telesis AT-X930-28GTX

  • Unbox and inspect the switch for transport damage, ensuring all components are present and in good condition. Verify that you have the appropriate mounting hardware and power cables for your rack installation.
  • Rack-mount the AT-X930-28GTX securely in a standard 19-inch rack. Ensure proper ventilation around the device and avoid obstructing air intake and exhaust paths to maintain optimal cooling.
  • Connect power and, if applicable, install redundant power supplies. Confirm power indicators on the front panel indicate normal operation and that there are no fault indicators.
  • Attach a management workstation to the switch’s management port or connect via a dedicated management VLAN. Use a browser or terminal emulator to access the device’s management interface (GUI or CLI).
  • Load the latest firmware from Allied Telesis or your vendor-approved repository, then configure initial settings: set a strong admin password, configure management IP address, set up VLANs, and define the default gateway. Establish stacking relationships if you are integrating the switch with other x930 devices, and enable basic routing or static routes as needed.
  • Configure security and QoS policies to align with your network design. Create access control lists, enable IGMP snooping where multicast is used, and set bandwidth policies to prioritize critical traffic. Save the configuration and enable startup on boot to ensure resilience after power cycles.
  • Test connectivity and performance across the network: verify inter-VLAN routing works, confirm uplink performance, and validate high-priority traffic paths. Monitor health using the switch’s management tools and log any anomalies for proactive maintenance.

Great price great shoe
Size: 12, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Excellent shoe. Tried the Sebago penny loafer and the sizing was ridiculous. These J and M are sized perfectly. I’ve had them before and they wear like iron. Very comfortable right out of the box.

Quality shoe but with a slight squeak.
Size: 10 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Nice shoes with the classic Penny Loafer design. Fit was better than another brand I tried. Only reason not 5 starts is disappointment due to a slight squeak at times when walking.

Exact item ordered, quick delivery
Size: 9.5, Color: Black Polished Full Grain
I ordered these black Cole Haan penny loafers for casual wear with jeans, khakies, and even business casual with slacks and a jacket. They've always worked perfectly for these uses. The Cole Haan version is the most versatile and still meets my sophisticated look criteria. I wear a 9 1/2 M with almost all other shoes. I have found Cole Haan to run slightly wider and slightly shorter. This fit will work with thin and no socks and a little loose in width. . I'd likely order a 10 N next time. I tend to forget this but it runs consistent with me for Cole Haan. 5 stars for the shoe and service. My bad on the slightly off fit.

Poor quality control - maybe outlet store leftovers
Size: 11.5, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
The two shoes were not the same size. They were both labeled 11 1/2 but one shoe was larger than the other and the fit was poor. I returned the first pair and ordered a replacement. This time the shoes were close to the same size but too loose and the left one has sewing issues. I've bought Johnston & Murphy for years because of the quality. These were to replace an existing pair of burgundy penny loafers that have finally worn out (even after several heal/sole replacements). That is the expected quality. I suspect Nashville Shoe Warehouse may be handling shoes that didn't measure up for the quality; more like an outlet mall than getting the J&M quality I've come to expect. Update: went to Johnston & Murphy site to buy "direct" from the manufacturer. There were several recent reviews where the shoes were long and didn't fit properly. Genesco - please step up the manufacture / crafting of these classic shoes to the level of quality they used to have.
