The Wiremold AV3 Poke-Thru Device Insert Assembly With Disposable Plate is a purpose-built floor-level cable management solution designed to deliver a clean, professional finish for AV, data, and power installations. Tailored to work with AV3CTC Series Covers, this insert provides a secure, upright pathway through floors, helping to protect cables from damage while maintaining a neat appearance in high-traffic spaces such as classrooms, theaters, conference rooms, and corporate environments. With a disposable plate included, service and maintenance become quicker and less disruptive, allowing technicians to access cables without removing the entire assembly. This description blends core product details with practical benefits to highlight why the AV3 Poke-Thru Insert is a reliable choice for floor installations that demand durability, easy maintenance, and a polished finish. Important installation notes: it requires a 4" (102 mm) diameter hole, it works with floor coverings that have a minimum thickness of 1/8", and it is not designed for bare concrete or terrazzo substrates. By choosing this module, you’re investing in a high-quality cable manager that emphasizes longevity, compatibility, and user-friendly serviceability.

  • Premium compatibility and seamless integration: The AV3 Poke-Thru Device Insert is engineered to pair perfectly with AV3CTC Covers, delivering a flush, professional finish and a robust seal against dust and debris. This tight integration ensures upright compatibility within the AV3 family, supporting clean, reliable cable routing from below the floor to above. Whether you’re outfitting lecture halls, performance spaces, or meeting rooms, this insert maintains a consistent appearance and performance across installations, reducing guesswork during procurement and installation.
  • Precise hole and floor-prep requirements for reliable performance: Designed for a 4" (102 mm) diameter hole, this insert demands precise floor cutting to maintain structural integrity and finish. It’s optimized for floors with a minimum covering thickness of 1/8", ensuring a secure seating surface that helps to prevent movement, wobble, or cable strain. By meeting these specifications, you gain predictable installation outcomes and a durable, stable pathway for cables that reduces wear over time.
  • Disposable plate for effortless maintenance and serviceability: The included disposable plate is a standout feature that minimizes downtime and disruption during future reconfigurations or repairs. When access to cables is needed, technicians can remove and replace the plate without disturbing the core insert, preserving the floor’s appearance and reducing service costs. This design choice translates into faster upgrades, easier relocations, and fewer floor repairs after long-term use.
  • Expanded cable management capabilities with safe, orderly routing: The AV3 Poke-Thru Insert offers a dedicated conduit for AV and data cables, providing a tidy, protected path that minimizes bending, pinching, and interference. The upright configuration helps maintain cable integrity as cables transition from beneath the floor to above, contributing to longer cable life and fewer connectivity issues. This solution is ideal for spaces that demand reliable, organized cable delivery without compromising room aesthetics or safety.
  • Quality construction and reliable performance in demanding environments: Built for continuous use in busy environments, this poke-thru insert emphasizes durability and consistent performance. Its metal construction and integration with AV3CTC series components deliver a robust, long-lasting solution that maintains a clean floor profile even in high-traffic areas. By combining rugged materials with a meticulous install, you’ll achieve a dependable floor-level exit point for cables that stands up to daily wear and tear.

how to install Wiremold AV3 Poke-Thru Device Insert Assembly With Disposable Plate

  • Plan your installation by confirming AV3CTC cover compatibility and selecting a location that accommodates a 4" hole while avoiding obstructions below the floor. Ensure the subfloor is stable and prepared for cutouts to prevent movement after installation.

  • Cut a precise 4" diameter hole in the floor using an appropriate hole-saw or core drill, taking care to remove burrs and sharp edges. A clean cut helps the insert seat evenly and reduces the risk of damage to surrounding flooring materials.

  • Prepare the floor covering. Verify that the floor material thickness is at least 1/8" and free of debris. If necessary, adjust the surface so the insert sits flush with the surrounding flooring for a professional finish.

  • Insert the poke-thru device into the hole, aligning it with the intended path for cables. Secure the device according to the manufacturer’s guidance to ensure stability and prevent tilt or movement under traffic.

  • Install the disposable plate over the opening to seal the pathway and protect the internal cavity from dust and debris. Route cables through the device, maintain proper bend radii, and use appropriate grommets or strain-relief components as needed.

  • Finally, install the AV3CTC cover to complete the look. Verify the fit is tight and the surface is flush with surrounding flooring. Test cable performance and ensure all connections are secure and free from pinching or interference.

I don’t mind a cliffhanger,
Format: Kindle
but I dropped at least one star because of the obnoxious gloating of the author after the cliffhanger. Seriously - I don’t understand making your readers angry because you’re smug and expecting them to keep reading your books. I was very definitely enjoying the series. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth and mixed feelings about continuing the series.

The series as a whole so far 5/25
Format: Kindle
I read reviews before going into this book and I don't agree with one of the more harsh ones on the main trigger she had. It is stated clearly in the forward and it wasn't as blase as it was made out to be. It definitely is touched on more and hasn't just been brushed off as the series goes I definitely would recommend reading it. It's a good series just be for-warned I like the series as a whole. The characters are awesome I adore the fmc shes cute and adorable but also a badass. Though there are a bunch of holes for her that I feel like just got left out. The guys are interesting and shout out to yall for not making Gage a dragon. I'm tired of the broody ones who don't wanna talk aboit what they are being Dragons. Ki is my favorite You can definitely tell if is written by 2 different people though because the phrasing just doesn't match up and wouldn't be something people that age says. And it flip flops between them. I feel like there's substance without substance. We are 4 books in and we don't really know much back story on literally anyone more than right under surface deep. There are definitely favorite MMCs which is kind of disappointing since some get shoved to the wayside. Specifically both of the best friends. They're basically useless and it's made obvious as the books go on. As well as all the men are ungodly self deprecating. I enjoy the plot line for the most part like I said I enjoy the series its different and refreshing. I do feel like the series is being dragged out though unfortunately. And the latest cliff hanger was just meh. So hopefully the next book is the last one.

Wow!
Format: Kindle
This book was awesome! Seraphina and her family have moved to a new town. Her family is a bit... odd. She grew up learning how to protect herself from people who might hurt her. Bloodshed is a daily occurrence with her brothers and parents during their practice sessions, and it’s all fun and games unless you need to hide a body. Sera’s family is very close, and she’s been homeschooled most of her life. But in this new town she is going to start regular school as a senior at the local high school. Unfortunately, things at her school aren’t all they seem to be. Or perhaps more than they seem to be. Sera has her own demons to deal with, and she’s terrified her new friends will learn about her weird family and other issues and drop her like a rock. It turns out they have their own secrets as well. This story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next one! This book is well written and well edited. The heroine is spunky and has a great heart and wicked sense of humor.

A Fox Amongst the Wolves
Format: Kindle
Collette has been forgotten about her whole life. Her parents don't bother with her, others don't try either once they realize she uses sign language to speak, and she's a shifter surrounded by humans that hate her kind. On her 18th birthday, she runs away. She takes the train and then bus wherever it can get her as far from home as possible. A missed bus brings her and a mysterious but kind man to Willowdale. What happens next is a story of fated mates, shifters, magic, new best friends and found family, and a stolen child. I'm sad this was a shorter read but only because of how much I loved Collette, Dylan, Hunter, Luca, Lena, and the others in their community. I love how detailed the characters are even with the shorter story. You can tell their characteristics easily, and the lead in to book two is done so well. I loved this insta love book with just the right amount of drama.

An easy PNR book to cure book hangovers.....
Format: Kindle
I enjoyed this as a short story; but nothing truly pulled me into this world to want to keep reading each story. I can sense the overarching villain arc w/ the HAF; yet it still wasn't enough to capture me long-term. It felt like too much focus was placed on progressing the romance part that everything else took a non-existent back seat. This did work well for my intentions of getting over a book-hangover slump. So there's that lol. A Tip to overcome a PNR book hangover, from a wonderful series or novel......read a trope-y, lighthearted, PNR that is easily predictable but adorable. Like this book. Honestly, I'm rarely into short stories that are turned into a ridiculous amount of books on different PNR characters. So I'm not the best at judging the merits of these stories. I'm a long-haul type of reader that lives for a series surrounding 1 lead female character & her harem (or singular partner). Occassionally, I'll find a series of short stories that are interesting enough to finish or pull me in completely. The rarity of that is countable on 1.5 hands, compared to the literal hundreds of fiction books I've read lol. With all of that, I will say this was fun because of the FMC's difficulties growing up & how that made her strong, the end reveals of her life, & the cute Epilogues. I never felt truly connected to any of the characters; but I did feel slightly compelled to just finish it to see how plot points would end. Unfortunately, due to a lack of character backstory explanations, I still don't understand Collete's "magic". Very little time was given to flesh out the backstory of the world this occurs in. I couldn't even guess what type of magic occurs in this world, aside from what little was revealed. A random scene sticks out to me...... we're introduced to a new magic type, in passing. No dialogue to expand. No hint at anything really. Then the scene moves on. That moment felt pointless to even mention, afterwards. It felt like the author was more concerned w/ romance than storyline. This is a common issue I have w/ short stories....authors write them for whatever reason; but too often it's an "either or" theme.....EITHER the author is writing ONLY for romance w/ storyline taking a minor role OR writing ONLY for storyline w/ some romance that ends up feeling forced. As I mentioned earlier, only a handful of short stories series have ever had a balance of both sides, for me, that I wanted to read all of them.
