Dreamboat is a collaboration between dream-folk singer and guitarist Ilyas Ahmed and the lunar-inclined analog-synthesizer-and-processed-bass-clarinet duo Golden Retriever (Matt Carlson and Jonathan Sielaff). The collaboration between these long-time friends began with a shared admiration for each other's work and a commonality in approach to making music, which one day begged the question, What if our individual sound worlds intersected? The result yielded a unifying love of exploded modal song forms, improvisation as composition (and vice versa), and a desire to interact with traditional song form. The record is a result of intense scrutiny of arrangement as well as a commitment to reckless abandon. Opener Aftershock introduces the trio's vocabulary with Ahmed's 12-string guitar and soft vocals floating through the billowing clouds of Carlson's synth wash as Sielaff's processed clarinet cuts through the haze like a knife. Face to Face ebbs and flows like the ocean's wash against the shore, with each instrument allowing the other plenty of space until the song's chorale-like outro. The B-side opens with Mirrored Image, which straddles the line between abstraction and free-form chaos. Closer Your Sunday Best begins as a near-chamber-ensemble piece before segueing into the record's most overt pop gestures and playing out in a wash of modal hypnosis. Imagine Tim Buckley sitting in on the first Cluster recording session or Neil Young with The Taj Mahal Travellers as Crazy Horse covering Popol Vuh and you are almost there. Edition of 500.

My puppy is a 7wk old Great Pyrenees & Lab mix. He loves this toy! Fun for tug of war and for cuddles. Definitely worth the money. It is durable enough for razor puppy teeth.

The pooch is on Cloud No 9

Lucky loves everything about this (blue) octopus. It has squeakers in all the right places and the crinkle sound adds to his fun. He’s almost 70lbs and extremely strong, and can be an aggressive player and chewer. So far, it has held up extremely well for the tug-of-war games and crazy shaking play. It’s well worth the money. I also want to mention that this toy is true to size. I have too often ordered dog toys that turned out to be much smaller than advertised.

Cute, soft, quiet and durable
This stuffy is HUGE! I was expecting it to be half this size. We're happy to have a stuffy that does *NOT* have a squeaker. We're finding it to be very sturdy. My 4 month old puppy is a terrier mix and she loves to attack and shake stuffies and you can't tell this thing has been abused at all. Looks the same a 2 weeks later as it did new. It's one of her favorites and we love it because its quiet. Should last a long time.
This is an update 4 months after purchase. The red squirrel continues to be a favorite with my puppy. With other plush toys, she tears them apart in 10 minutes. This one, somehow, has lasted months. Over time, she has pulled off the tail, the ears, and two of the legs, but the body is still intact. Amazing!

My dog freakin’ LOVES this
Favorite toy of my dog. He’s a heavy chewer - and yes, he’s chewed the tail off and one of the ears - but he carries it around all the time - plays with it all the time - even sleeps with it. And it has held up for months. I’m getting another one just to have as a backup as I don’t think he can live without it. Also love that the eyes are embroidered and not plastic so he won’t accidentally swallow them. Best toy ever.
