A Large Dissectible Transformer with Spot Weld and Full Kit is a very useful instrument, a classical instrument for teaching the principles of the transformer theory and other AC phenomena. It is designed to be strong and have a long life.

The work bench is protected by a durable plastic foot. The comprehensive kit includes a sturdy spot welder and a copper ring capable of heating up to melt wax or solder through induction. The coil formers are crafted from heat-resistant, glass-filled nylon and are virtually unbreakable. An additional Thompson's ring is also provided.

The 35x35mm iron core has a 'U' clamp and a mains operated primary with an on/off switch and a removable cable, as well as a low voltage, heavy current tapped secondary coil.
