The works have many varied origins and have served many purposes. Some emerged from a process of healing, others from a moment of inspiration. Some have become a voice of advocacy, others a way of remembering. Some reveal deep inner truths or make observations about society, while some voyage in the imagination. Many do all of the above. All of them are stories that need to be told. All, in some way, have ended silence. The contributors are as diverse as the works they created. They include members of the Blue Rose, students at Rhode Island College, members of the New England community and beyond. Some have already established themselves in the writing or artistic community and some are taking their first steps on their creative path.
