This is one of the first jadeite bangle bracelets I purchased when I started shopping in China near the Burma border in 2001.  My mentor was the vice president of southern China jade association and he had his own jade shop and carving business.  He showed me how to recognize genuine and natural jadeite while shopping and "tested me" throughout our several day visit and shopping trips.  This jadeite bangle bracelet was made for a man because it's an average Chinese man's size.  He showed me how to find legitimate jadeite testers to make the certificate, and this was tested as a learning experience for me.   This is the kind of jade the Chinese jade sellers wish they could buy back from me, because of the quality and color that is rare to find today due to military and political conflicts in Burma that affected the jade mines.
