Our axle shims are also an important item when you have added power steering to your vintage straight axle front end. Original straight axle front ends came with minimal caster angle to make steering easier on the driver. When power steering is added, the caster angle must be increased or "road wander" becomes prevalent. This added with an old chassis design can become quite trying at high speeds. When using on straight axle trucks with power steering, we recommend the 6 degree shim.
