API POND ALGAEFIX algae control offers efficient management of green water algae blooms, hair or string algae (Cladophora), and blanketweed (Oedogonium) in ponds that house live plants and fish. This fast-acting formula not only curbs existing algae growth but also prevents new algae formations while assisting in solving algae-related issues.
Approved by the EPA, API POND ALGAEFIX algae control is effective against various algae types in water gardens, ponds, and decorative fountains that contain live plants and fish.
For precise dosing, calculate your pond's volume prior to application. Avoid overdosing. Add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) for every 50 gallons or 0.25 cup for every 600 gallons of pond or fountain water. Ensure thorough mixing by adding it near the pump outflow, waterfall, or aeration device. Alternatively, it can be combined in a bucket and distributed evenly throughout the pond. Repeat the application every 3 days until algae is managed. After controlling algae growth, administer one dose weekly. Regular weekly doses will help maintain algae levels and decrease pond upkeep.
CAUTION: DO NOT use in the presence of freshwater crustaceans such as shrimp, crabs, and lobsters.
