Gulf Crimson Peach is a dwarf fruiting deciduous tree with a spreading crown and a early season harvest of clingstone peaches.  Profuse blooms of fragrant pink flowers coat the branches in spring attracting butterflies.  The yellow peaches flush to 80-90% red and have a firm golden flesh with a juicy sweet taste that robust favor.  Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.  Gulf Crimson is self-pollinating with a consistent crop and low chill requirement of 400 chill hours.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  High Maintenance. Needs regular watering.  Peaches have a lot of pest and disease issues and need regular spraying to ensure good crop.  Potential pests include tree borer, fruit moth, root nematodes, and aphids.   Late spring frosts can severely damage flower buds.  Fallen fruit can be messy if not harvested.
