Polylactic acid (PLA) is a new type of bio-based and renewable biodegradable material, which is made from starch raw materials, proposed by renewable plant resources (such as banana, cassava, etc.). Raw starch materials by saccharification to extract glucose, then from glucose to a certain strain fermentation to make high purity lactic acid, then through chemical synthesis method to synthesize poly (lactic acid) with a certain molecular weight.

It’s not vegan, if you want a vegan formula, try the Nivea Soft, which I use too, in the summer, when I don’t need a thick formula. It doesn’t cause me to break out, again don’t use too much. I love that you can use it for face, hands and body. It literally is just for moisture. Nothing fancy. The tin is recyclable. I take it everywhere. I keep a little tin in my car, my purse, my overnight bag. My face feels soft and supple even hours after using it. It’s just so lovely.
